Should you buy the CCell Silo?

The CCell Silo is a slightly larger and more powerful 510-thread battery for oil cartridges than the CCell Palm. In this review, we’ll be going over all the key features to help you decide whether it’s worth it or not. If this is your first 510 thread oil vape, you may also consider checking out our list of the Best Vape Pens for THC Carts.

How it Works

As a universal 510-Thread battery, the CCell Silo is made to be used with 510-Thread Oil Vape Cartridges. To use it, you’ll simply pop in whatever cartridge you’d like, and then it will be draw-activated after that. One of the nice things about the body is that its larger frame will be more heat resistant due to the better distribution than you might find on a smaller 510-Battery that can get very hot to the touch.

What’s the CCell Silo’s heating system?

With a 3.7 Volt singular power supply, and 510mAh battery, there is more than enough power to get through a quarter gram of oil before needing a recharge, which will be more than enough for a heavy user’s day. The bigger battery also means you can skip a preheat before taking hits from viscous oil.

How big is the CCell Silo?

Due to the nature of 510 batteries, the Silo will fit very easily into your pocket, and you’ll have no problems concealing it in your clenched fist in public. One of the good things about this device is the concealed oil cartridge to ensure better portability and an overall more discreet design than traditional pen designs. Because the cartridge is hidden in the body of the device, you won’t have to worry about dropping your vape and shattering the glass. Because the atomizer is magnetically connected, cartridge swapping will be much easier and faster than traditional threading.

Can you only use oil with 510-Thread Batteries?

This 510-Battery is made to be only used with 510-thread cartridges. If you’re interested in a Weed Vaporizer with multiple uses, you may be interested in a much more expensive AirVape Legacy Pro that comes with a mesh liquid pad and dosing capsules for oil or wax.

CCell Silo Vapor Quality

The manufacturer claims that you’ll be able to get up to 200 puffs from a full charge, and we believe that number to be fairly accurate. You’ll be able to get good vapor out of even the thickest of oils, and we were impressed by the clouds we were able to get using a thinner oil with longer draws.

How to clean the CCell Silo?

To clean the CCell Silo, all you’ll have to do is wipe the ceramic mouthpiece with vape cleaning wipes any time that you may be concerned with cleanliness. When the cartridge is out, you can also use a q-tip to make sure the connection is 100% free from debris.

Is the CCell Silo worth it?

The CCell Silo without a doubt one of the most solid Oil Batteries on the market today. The powerful draw-activated battery and the ergonomic design feels great in the hand, and the battery and voltage are enough to last a full day’s worth of large clouds.

  • If you don’t care so much about the thinner design, also consider the Palm which you can read about more in our CCell Palm Review.

Pros:

1. Compact and portable: The CCELL Silo is small and lightweight, allowing for easy carrying and discreet vaping on-the-go.
2. Long battery life: This device is equipped with a powerful battery that can provide extended use without frequent recharging.
3. Universal 510 thread compatibility: It can be used with a wide range of 510-threaded oil cartridges, giving users more options and flexibility.
4. Auto-draw activation: The Silo is activated automatically when you inhale, eliminating the need for buttons or complicated settings.
5. Leak-proof design: The device is designed with leak-proof technology, reducing the risk of any oil leaks or spills.

Cons:

1. Lack of temperature control: The Silo does not offer temperature control settings, limiting customization options for users.
2. No display or indicator: There is no display or indicator to show battery life or other information, making it difficult to gauge the remaining battery power.
3. Limited cartridge size compatibility: The device may not fit larger or non-standard size cartridges, limiting cartridge options for users.
4. Non-adjustable airflow: The airflow on the Silo is fixed, meaning users cannot adjust it to their personal preference.

What voltage is the CCell Silo?

The CCell Silo is set to 3.7V, which will allow for some pretty big clouds, but might be a bit too harsh for beginners.

All CCell batteries use 510 threading, which stands for 10 threads at 5mm each.
