The Ghost is as easy to use as they come for a wax pen. You simply unscrew the mouthpiece revealing the atomizer, apply your material to the coils, reassemble the device, press the button, and inhale. With the Dabber Ghost, if you want to microdose and only take a rip or two and then save the rest, just click the button 5 times to save the battery life. doesn’t get any easier or more straightforward than that when it comes to affordable wax pens. Microdosers can get up to 10 tasty wax rips off of one session!

Dr. Dabber Ghost Temperature Settings

There is only one vaporizer temperature setting on the Dr. Dabber Boost. While this might be a bit of a letdown for experienced vape pen consumers, for most of us it’s no big deal – especially because of how the titanium coil on the atomizer performs so well.  The heat-up time on this device is instant, which is an awesome feature.

Heating System and Chamber

The heating element on the Ghost wax pen is a high-quality titanium coil, which is wrapped around a silica wick. The titanium technology really shines with this unit, and it shows when it comes to its vapor quality. But more to come about the vapor later. The Dr. Dabber Ghost wax pen from Dr. Dab also heats up instantly, which we loved.

The great part about the atomizer on the Ghost made by Dr. Dabber is the fact that there is no burn off time required after unboxing, unlike other wax pens. However, when you buy a new coil, be sure to turn it on and let the atomizer heat up. The reason for this is because once you buy a replacement coil, you can’t send a defective one back to the manufacturers if there are waxy concentrates all over it.

The Ghost’s chamber can fit about .2 grams of wax, which is an ample amount for most consumers, but all day wax pen tokers might want a bit more in that department. If that’s you, consider checking out the Pulsar APX Wax vaporizer.

Ghost Vape Atomizers

Dr. Dabber Ghost Vapor Quality

The vapor quality on the Dr. Dabber Ghost is excellent. This is thanks mostly to the titanium coil, which vapes waxy concentrates efficiently and evenly. Some consumers get a little turned off when they hear silica wick atomizers, because of the fact that older units tend to taste a bit metallic towards the end of a session. This is simply not true with the Ghost. When you are loading up your concentrates, make sure that you place enough material on the Ghost’s coil, so it has a chance to soak itself in the wick. Doing this will give you better taste and extraction of terpene profiles of your favorite waxy concentrates.

Dr. Dabber Ghost Battery Life

When you charge up the Ghost for the first time, you’re looking at around 2 hours. After that first charge, it takes about an hour and a half. You’ll get anywhere from 250-400 draws on a single charge, which is impressive. The 5 click locking feature is great for saving the battery life if you don’t want a full session right at that time.

Dr. Dabber Ghost Manufacturing Quality

The Ghost is well-built, and all of the parts fit nicely together – nothing seems unnecessary or out of place. You get a cool little blue storage container that should fit enough wax for a day or two even the heaviest of consumers. The Dr. Dabber Logo looks cool and so does the blue light.

One of the only drawbacks of this wax pen that some owners have is the fact that the mouthpiece is made from plastic, while some would prefer one made from steel or glass.

Even though the KandyPens Prism does use a glass mouthpiece, we think the Ghost from Dr. Dab looks a little bit more aesthetically pleasing.

Dr. Dabber Ghost Dab Pen Portability & Discreteness

Being only a few inches tall, The Dr. Dabber Ghost is highly portable and fits into the smallest of pockets and bags. The blue light is pretty bright, but you can cover that up with your finger at night if you’re looking to avoid drawing attention to yourself. The odor on the Ghost is rather minimal because the vapor quality is so clean from the high-quality titanium coil atomizer.

What’s in the Dr. Dabber Ghost kit?

The Dr. Dabber Ghost comes with an atomizer, a mouthpiece, a storage container for your wax, a tool for dabbing, a USB charger, and an instruction manual. There is a 3-month warranty on the battery, but atomizers aren’t covered, so you are on your own there.

How to clean the Dr. Dabber Ghost?

As with many vape pens, it’s imperative to keep the Dr. Dabber Ghost coils clean. We often get asked ‘how long do vape coils last’? The answer is highly dependent on how frequently you keep it clean. If you let gunk build up and don’t clean it often enough, the atomizer coils can go bad in as quickly as a month. However, if you are on top of proper cleaning, they can last you up to three months or even longer.

We suggest that you take a soft brush to the atomizer and be careful not to damage anything. Also, take a Q-Tip to the battery and use some isopropyl alcohol on the mouthpiece to make sure that it’s free from as much bacteria and debris as possible. If you are looking for some cleaning sticks that you don’t have to bother dipping in a bottle of alcohol and can just click open, we’ve got you covered with vaporizer cleaning sticks from Tools420.

Dr. Dabber Wax Pen Review Conclusion

The Ghost from Dr. Dabber delivers some great features like awesome vapor and build quality, high portability, and it is relatively affordable. However, there is no temperature flexibility, the mouthpiece is plastic and the warranty could be a bit better. For a more powerful E-Rig version of this device, make sure to check out the Dr. Dabber Switch

With the Ghost wax pen from Dr. Dab, there is no temperature flexibility, it has a plastic mouthpiece, and the warranty could be a bit better. If you’re looking for a wax pen that’s similar yet lighter on the wallet, consider the Ghost’s sibling, the Dr. Dabber Light. You will sacrifice a bit of vapor quality, but you’ll save some money, too. You might also find our Dr. Dabber Aurora review interesting if you are as big of a fan of the brand as we are.
