The G Pen Elite is a dry herb portable vaporizer from Grenco Science. The G Pen Elite is an upgrade over its younger sibling, the G Pen Pro. The G Pen Elite has plenty of features to satisfy the most experienced users. At the same time, with a price tag of under $200 CND, the G Pen Elite is still affordable enough to serve as a high-end entry point for the newbie looking to get their feet wet with the wonderful world of vaporization.

G Pen Elite Battery

The good part about the G Pen Elite Battery is that it does last a while. It usually lasts around four or five full sessions before it needs to be recharged. If you charge it with the USB, it takes around two or three hours to go from dead to completely charged. This is about standard for vaporizers these days when recharging with USB.

G Pen Elite Charging Port

The bad part about the battery on the G Pen Elite is that it is internal, and you cannot replace it. This means that if your battery eventually needs to be replaced, you’ll have to buy a completely new device or send in for warranty if still under the 1 year warranty.

How to use the G Pen Elite?

The G Pen Elite is sleek and cool looking. Its design has some divots in it that lets you hold it more easily and feels more comfy in your hand. It is only about 4 inches high, 1.5 inches dia. Couple these stealthy dimensions with the fact that it is light as a feather at only about 3 ounces, and you’ve got yourself one of the most portable dry herb vapes on the market today.

You will be hard pressed to find a device that is more portable and discreet than the G Pen Elite, except for maybe a standard small vape pen or the Pax vaporizer.

Just like the G Pen Pro, the elite it turned on by pressing the power button rapidly five times in a row. The G Pen Elite features exact temperature controls, conduction heating, and is operated by pressing the up and down buttons on the side of the device. The LED display is accurate, easy to read and understand. Its temperature range is a pretty impressive 200 degrees Fahrenheit (93C) to 428F (220C). This portable vaporizer uses a nice sized chamber that can fit about 0.75 grams of dry herb.

With most vaporizers, when you see one that has a mouthpiece that’s right next to the heating chamber, that is usually bad news. This is because the vapor can get really hot, but this really isn’t the case with the G Pen Elite. It heats up in a solid 30 seconds. The G Pen Elite also has an auto shut off feature that is activated after 40 seconds of non-use.

In addition to the standard G Pen Elite model, Grenco Science also collaborated with some talented artists to produce two uniquely designed versions of the vape: the Badwood edition and the Stash edition or Phil Frost. If you’re in the market for a G Pen Elite, but want one that’s going to look cooler than everyone else’s, you might opt for one of these three variant models.

G Pen Elite Vapor Quality

Because the G Pen Elite is so compact, its vapor path is on the shorter side. To some users, this degrades the quality of the vapor, but for others, it’s not a big deal. Either way, the common consensus is that the G Pen Elite delivers above average vapor quality due to the fact that it uses conduction heating and ceramic chamber. Another good thing about this unit is that you’ll get great vapor production no matter how much or how little of your dry herbs you decide to pack into the chamber. This is a plus for the G Pen Elite, as it usually is not the case with more affordable models like it.

We recommend doing what is commonly referred to as a “burn off” a few times, which just means heating up the G Pen Elite before you pack anything into it. This will get rid of the newly manufactured smell that might creep its way into the flavor of your vaped dry herbs.

What’s in the G Pen Elite box?

When you buy the G Pen Elite, you’ll get a card for grinding purposes, a brush for cleaning, a nifty little stir stick on a keychain, and a USB charger cord. The G Pen Elite only comes with a 1-year warranty, which is significantly below average.
