How to use the Utillian 620?

The Utillian 620 uses a magnetic mouthpiece on a slider, which you’ll remove before loading up the stainless steel chamber oven with 0.2 g.

After that, just press the power button five times and It will start automatically heating. With the up and down arrows below the OLED screen, you can precisely control the temperature as the 620 heats up over 40 seconds – Once you feel a vibration, your device will be ready to hit!

The high temperatures can generally fill up a bubbler with a nice amount of vapor. In contrast, the lower temperatures give a smoother hit with a great terpene profile.

Typically, we like to start with a low temperature before ending high to get the full range of effects and flavor from the herb for maximum THC extraction, this is also called ‘temp-stepping’ to connoisseurs. On a side note, you can adjust your session timer between three and eight minutes by holding the power button down

0.2g Hybrid Oven

With the 620’s stainless steel oven, you’ll get a bit of conduction heating in the oven, along with hot convection airflow as it heats the air from below the chamber.

When you combine that with the wide open airflow of the Utillian 620 Glass Mouthpiece Tube, it will allow you to get bigger hits than some high-end vapes like the Crafty Plus.

The chamber can accommodate around 0.1-0.2 grams of dry herb, which is great for micro-dosing or solo/duo use. If you need something a bit harder-hitting, we recommend the AirVape Legacy Pro because of its larger oven and stronger heating system.

As another plus, you’ll be able to use the Utillain 620 with dosing capsules by using either the XMAX V3 Pro Wax Cup or XMAX V3 Pro Dosing Capsules in the chamber. The wax cup will allow use with small amounts of dabs, and the pack of five dosing capsules will let you easily pre-load up to five sessions for easy chamber reloading.

How’s the Utillian 620 Vapor Quality?

Despite its small size, the 620 packs a punch! The vapor path is isolated and composed of metal and glass, so your flavor is solid and unchanged. This is a nice feature for people who dislike plastic or rubber mouthpieces.

Cloud production is consistently solid but it isn’t quite on the same level as some of the more premium devices, like the Arizer Air Max. One of the best features is the top-tier airflow, which isn’t restricted at all, making taking a hit less of a task and much simpler!

Overall the vapor quality of the Utillian 620 is very good and it hits far above its price point and weight category – It’s a great budget portable herb vape that offers solid hits.

How long does the Utillian 620 battery last?

In terms of battery life, you’ll get around an hour of vaping in, which in our experience, translates to around 5-6 full chamber clears. This is a decent number for budget dry herb vapes in general. It’s by no means incredible, but it’s not bad, either.

The 2300mAh battery charges up by Micro-USB, which is still reasonably common, though we prefer USB-C as that’s the way of the future!

It’ll take around 2 hours to fully top up, which is about average for a Weed Vaporizer.

Portable Design

The 620 will comfortably fit in the palm of your hand as well as most pants pockets as it’s only a few inches tall and wide.

It’s also surprisingly lightweight, so you won’t get that swinging pocket feeling that some of the more bulky vapes have. You still might want to pick up a good vape case like the Stashlogix Silverton if you’re a heavy user, though.

While it doesn’t exactly look like an e-cig, most people won’t care if you’re using it and likely think it’s an e-juice vape, thanks to the matte black design. It does put out a decent amount of smell compared to other convection vaporizers, but still much less than smoking or pure conduction budget herb vapes.

We’d put it as one of the best stealthy herb vaporizers around, especially with its integrated Utillian 620 Stirring Tool that will let you knock out your chambers to make reloading a breeze.

Utillian 620 Manufacturing Quality

Utillian Vaporizers has been putting out solid devices lately, and the 620 is no exception. The sand-blasted black aluminum body is attractive, the mouthpiece is easy to use and clean, and the integrated stir tool is a super nice feature to include.

At the price it’s available at, it’s one of the best-built budget dry herb vapes, and we often recommend it to people buying their first vaporizer.

As long as you don’t accidentally drop the vaporizer on the glass, it’s super durable, and the only part you’ll have to replace are the O-Rings and screens, which can be replaced in the Utillian 620 Screen Pack

How to Clean the Utillian 620?

After every session, you can use the pick tool to knock out your cooked weed, and then a vape cleaning stick whenever you begin to see noticeable resin forming in the chamber.

Deep-cleaning the Utillian 620 is quite simple as the only real part that will need thorough cleaning is the glass mouthpiece once a month or so.

Just submerge the glass mouthpiece and any dirty mouthpiece screens in some isopropyl alcohol for 20 minutes before a gentle scrub and your 620 will be as good as new.

Every once in a while, you can remove the Utillian 620 Convection Helix under the chamber and pick off the resin reclaim for either edible or a supercharged session. You can access the convection helix by pushing up on the pick tool’s air hole, which will push it out.

Who’s it best for?

The Utillian 620 is suitable for advanced and beginner users alike and would be an excellent addition to any weed vaporizer lineup. Overall, beginners will love the consistent vapor quality output and its ease of use.

If you’re a heavy user, then you might not be satisfied by the smaller bowl size and battery and would benefit from something like the Mighty Plus or Arizer Air MAX.

Utillian 620 Reddit

A lot of the feedback regarding the Utillian 620 on Reddit is about the people loving the stellar cloud production with its only knocks being the one-hour battery life. Generally, it’s considered a mid-range vape and a favorite for people that enjoy it.

Tips and Tricks

  • Use medium ground herb packed lightly, not too fine but not too coarse, we suggest the Zeus Bolt 2 Grinder!
  • Inhale gently over 10 seconds – too hard of a rip may not perform so well with the device!
  • Stir the bowl halfway through the load with the stir tool on the bottom of the device for a more even THC extraction
  • Get a hold of a 620 Bubbler or Utillian 620 Bong Adapter for maximum cooling and flavor!

Pros

  • Consistent vapor quality
  • Sleek and portable design
  • Minimal parts to clean
  • Isolated air path
  • OLED screen and precision temperature control

Cons

  • Non-swappable battery + Micro-USB port
  • Outshined by premium vaporizers

Utillian 620 Review Conclusion

We’re pretty fond of the Utillian 620 and it certainly checks a lot of boxes for someone looking for their first vaporizer! While it doesn’t have a removable battery or USB-C charging, there aren’t any major cons we can think of.

The performance is solid, the price is right, the battery life is good, and it’s quite small! If you’re in the market for a small, budget dry herb vape, then it’s worth it to drop a little more on this device. Even years after its release, we still consider it to be one of the Best Dry Herb Vapes.
