How it Works and Ease of Use
Most budget vaporizers are straightforward and easy to use, and the Aria from XVape is no exception. The OLED screen on the device is easy to see, and the up and down temperature buttons are easy to use. The device will turn on after you click the button three times. The XVape heats up in about 20 seconds, and it will vibrate when it’s ready to rip.
Aria’s Temperature Settings
The XVape Aria features precision controls and a wide temperature range of 100-240°C (212-464°F). When vaping with dry herbs, you’re going to want to stay away from anything above about 215°C (419°F) and 220°C (428°F). We recommend the sweet spot of about 155°C to 205°C (310°F to 400°F) for optimal performance of the Aria from XVape.
We are assuming that XVape added a wide temperature range with higher top-end heat than most conduction vaporizers because they are attempting to better accommodate for concentrate consumers. While this was a user-friendly idea, even the high-end temperatures fall a bit short of the high temps that dedicated wax pens can reach.
Heating System and Chamber
The XVape Aria uses conduction heating, which is to be expected when it comes to budget vaporizers. The size of the stainless steel chamber on this device is pretty solid, holding about 0.4 grams of ground herb. This unit will benefit from herb that is ground as finely as possible, but not packed down too tightly into the chamber.
XVape Aria’s Vapor Quality
The vapor quality on the Aria is solid for the first few four draws or so, but after that, it starts to taste chared and can come dangerously close to combustion level. The reason for this is because even though the Aria has an isolated airpath and a black ceramic mouthpiece, the vapor path is short, giving it less time to cool than other models. The vapor production is good and can produce some big clouds on the high temperatures, but the flavor suffers a lot at that point.
As far as the vapor quality when vaping concentrates, it’s not terrible on the XVape Aria. This might be all some consumers are looking for. However, we know that connoisseurs will want to look at a device that is designed for vaping wax like the Utillian 5.
XVape Aria’s Battery Life
The battery on the Aria is 18650, 2600mah and takes about 3 hours to fully charge. Most consumers get about 5 sessions on a single charge. For a device as compact as the XVape Aria, that’s a good amount of battery life. For a little bit more coin, you can get a similar budget device like the Vapium Lite that gives up to 10 sessions on a single charge, if you want a unit with a better battery.
Aesthetics and Manufacturing Quality
When it comes to the visual appeal and build quality of the XVape Aria, there are good and bad points. The good is that the brushed metal shell seems durable enough, the bright OLED screen is simple to understand, the magnetically attached mouthpiece seals out air well, and the built-in stir stick is handy for mixing up your herb mid-session and for emptying the chamber when you’re ready for the next one.
You’re not going to find the Aria on any kind of high priced 420 premium market any time soon. And the reason for that is because it’s a budget vape. With that in mind, the bad parts of the XVape Aria build quality and the visual appeal are as follows… First, we would think that a black ceramic mouthpiece would offer solid flavor and smooth vapor, but this was only the case for the first couple of hits and quickly changed as the vapor became quite hot. Secondly, pleather isn’t a material that is all that well known for being long-lasting or durable, so we were a bit puzzled by the company’s decision to go with that kind of material. We think that the similarly priced conduction vape the Boundless CFC Lite looks a bit sexier than the Aria.
Aria’s Portability and Discreteness
The XVape Aria is slightly larger than most candy bars at only 4 inches and weighs only 135 grams. Clearly, this unit fits easily into any pocket and hand. However, discreteness might be an issue with this device. The OLED screen is pretty bright, and there is a noticeable amount of odor from dry herb sessions at high temperatures. Be sure to take notice if your Aria feels like it’s cooking too hot, or you run this risk of combusting your dry herbs.
XVape Aria’s Accessories
In addition to the Aria itself, it comes with a USB charger, a pad for concentrates, wipes and a brush for cleaning, and a User’s Guide. The XVape brand offers a 12-Month Warranty with the Aria.
Cleaning the XVape Aria
Cleaning the XVape Aria is easy. Just soak the mouthpiece in some isopropyl alcohol and take a Q-Tip to the chamber. Every once in a while you’re going to want to hit the chamber with some alcohol as well and for this task, we recommend that every vape consumer pick up some vaporizer cleaning sticks. It’s important to frequently clean all vaporizers to optimize performance and vapor quality.
Summary and Comparison
Offering precision controls, a good warranty, decent vaporizer quality, and a fairly long battery life, the Aria is a solid little device for newbies and for experienced consumers looking for an affordable unit to take with them on-the-go.
However, the quickly deteriorating vapor quality is disappointing. This is due to the short air path that causes draws that are harsh after about 4 or 5 hits into the session. Additionally, the decision to go with pleather might reduce the longevity and durability of the device. For a little bit more money, you can get better vapor quality for the duration of your session with the Flowermate Slick, the Vapium Lite, the Pulsar APX or the Utillian 421.

The over screen is NOT replaceable on these…Nor can you buy a replacement. It actually is easily removable….It became completely plugged on mine in under 2 months. It’s garbage at this point….It can not be cleaned with alcohol and a q-tip! I got this from the manufacturer….I guess that what I get for buying a budget vape! It worked good for a few weeks though, so if you are ok with that, but one.

I agree with this review but would also like to add that the performance on the Aria is WAY WAY better if you grind the herb finely and push it in a bit then add a little more weed THEN poke a few holes thru the weed. I get really heavy clouds and mega medicated off just one chamber.
The outside of the vape fake leather is starting to wear out quickly which kinda sux but whatever it works just as good as new. I had to learn how to clean the xvape aria by messaging someone on reddit but I got it just fine! Size of like a mars bar so its pretty small I take it everywhere.
I like to self-medicate with cannabis but I was on a budget so I decided that this vape is cheap and seemingly pretty good. I glad to report that its quite good however I in fact find the bowl size a bit too large for my liking.
Regardless, I just turn it off mid way through the session and pick up again later and stir the bowl. Perhaps that’s a good thing because then I can just not worry about re-loading it for later. It looks quite nice and fits very well in the hand so I’m overall very happy with it.

The bowl size is nice and large which is good because I’m a very heavy weed smoker (I’d go through about 3 grams in a normal day) and now use around 1 gram per day which is actually saving me a ton of money in the end!
Actually I think I’ve already paid the vape off with the weed that I’ve saved now that I think of it so yes its worth it.

I bought one for my girlfriend and she really likes it! She thinks the design is very nice and I’m inclined to agree with her. Much more pleasant and attractive than a lot of the e-cighs out there on the market. Its about the size of a candy bar and I don’t think she’s ever had a problem when using it outside. Doesn’t smell nearly as much as smoking either which is really nice.

Hits like a champ but gets pretty hot and my throat and lungs DEFINITELY FEEL IT. But not anywhere close to smoking especially bongs. Now I wonder how can I rig up my weed vaporizer to a bong hmm I have a Grav Lab 14mm can I put this on it some how?
