We had the pleasure of reviewing other devices from the AirVape brand like the AirVape X vape and the AirVape XS vape. We were pretty impressed with these portable weed vapes, and today we take a close look at their sibling, the XS Go. This budget weed vape is super sexy and stylish, has a fast charge time, is easy to use and highly portable.

If you have questions about portable dry herb vaporizers that you still need answers to, head on over to our new Dry Herb Vaporizer Guide. It’s updated regularly and you will find a wealth of info over there about everything you need to know before purchasing a portable vaporizer.

With that in mind, let’s get into our AirVape XS Go Review

Product Features:

  • Easy to Use
  • Fast Charge Time
  • Highly Portable
  • Super Sexy and Stylish Looking
  • Built-In Stirring Tool

How it Works and Ease of Use

The AirVape XS Go budget weed vape is easy to use. Just pop off the mouthpiece to reveal the heating chamber and load your dry herb. Pressing the button five times turns the unit on, and pressing it three times lets you toggle through the temperature settings. The unit heats up in 30-40 seconds and vibrates when ready. This is straightforward and pretty standard for vaporizers, especially budget weed vapes.

AirVape XS Go

You will want to grind your dry herbs as finely as possible when vaping weed with the AirVape XS Go to give you the best possible hits and airflow. If you need a great weed grinder that will last, check out this high-quality 4-layer metal grinder. Also, don’t pack the herbs down into the chamber too tightly, because you might restrict the airflow.

Temperature Settings

The AirVape XS Go budget weed vape has four preset temperature settings: 180°C, 190°C, 199°C, 207°C, and 215°C (356°F, 374°F, 390°F, 405°F, and 419°F). Although the XS Go doesn’t have precision temperature controls, the temp settings it does have are calibrated well. We recommend vaping at either 199°C or 207°C ( 390°F, 405°F ) for the best possible experience when vaping weed.

If you want a budget weed vape that has precision controls, you might want to check out a unit like the POTV One

AirVape XS Go Heating System and Chamber

The AirVape XS uses a hybrid heating system, which is a mix of conduction and convection. The heating chamber is made from ceramic and can fit 0.2 grams.

Even though the ceramic material is decent, the oven size is below average but make it a perfect vape for Microdosing. The XVape Aria has a similar price tag but twice the chamber size.

XS Go Vapor Quality

The vapor quality on the AireVape XS is just average. It’s okay for a budget weed vape, but nothing special. You can kind of taste the flavor of your dry herb, but a device like the Utillian 421 costs about the same but has noticeably better vapor quality. Plus, the 421 has a glass mouthpiece.

The vapor production is mediocre as well. Nothing terrible, but nothing super special either. We were neither highly disappointed or impressed with the vapor quality of the XS Go.

AirVape XS Go Battery Life

This device uses a 1200 mAh removable battery. The type of battery isn’t typical, so you will probably have to buy directly from the manufacturer. The XS Go battery life will last for a solid four sessions before needing to charge and charges up in 45-60 minutes. None of this is outstanding, but it’s pretty good for the price and how small the unit is.

Aesthetics and Manufacturing Quality

The XS Go is made from plastic and has a rubber finish. The build materials aren’t groundbreaking, but it does feel ergonomic when you hold it. We were happy with the built-in stir tool, which is not something you get with a lot of budget vapes.

The XS Go has a below-average plastic mouthpiece that might come off in your pocket or bag. This is especially bad if it’s packed. Anyone who has gotten weed all over their jeans pocket will know how much that sucks.

The looks of the XS Go is arguably its best quality. It is really stylish and it’s one of the most attractive looking devices we’ve seen. The two-tone colors of the unit and the cool oval shape add to its aesthetic quality. You would be hard-pressed to find a dry herb portable vaporizer that looks much better, regardless of the price!

Portability and Discreetness

The XS Go is highly discreet and portable, weighing only 2 ounces and measuring four inches in height. The unit fits perfectly in your hand when you palm it, and the average clouds plus minimal odor makes the unit highly discreet.

AirVape XS Accessories

The XS Go comes with a good accessory kit that includes the charger, a tool for cleaning and one for loading, a replacement screen, and the instruction manual. The device also comes with a lifetime warranty according to the AirVape brand, but we haven’t heard whether they honor warranties properly.

How to Clean the XS Go

The oval shape and small chamber make the XS Go easy to keep clean – just give it a good wipe with the brush after a session while the device is still warm. The mouthpiece should be hit with some isopropyl alcohol after every few sessions, especially if you are vaping socially. Check out these handy pre-packaged vaporizer cleaning sticks from Tools420 to take away the need to dip your Q-Tips in alcohol.

AirVape XS Go Review – Bottom Line

There are good and bad points about the XS Go portable vaporizer. The bad parts are that the oven is small, the vapor quality is just average and there is no option for vaping concentrates. Maybe worst of all is the fact that the mouthpiece might come off in your pocket and spill weed all over, and no one wants that.

The good parts include a built-in stir tool, a removable battery, miqrodosing option and a lifetime warranty. We think the XS Go shines the brightest with its aesthetic quality. If there existed a beauty pageant for portable dry herb vaporizers, the XS Go would have a good chance at winning!

If you are looking for a budget weed vape that offers better vapor quality, check out the 420 or 421 from Utillian because they have glass mouthpieces that will improve the flavor and smoothness.
