The 11 Best Budget Dry Herb Vaporizers for 2020!

We’re late into 2019 now and the vaporizer scene has changed drastically in the last few years. Finding a good budget dry herb vaporizer can be a challenge considering all the options out there right now. Which one is best for you though? Check out our Top 11 Budget Dry Herb Vaporizers for 2020 list here for more info!

We’ve included all budget herb vapes under $100 for this list, however we threw in a couple of devices of which we feel are worth the extra coins. Check out our best budget herb vapes down below!

Xmax Starry V3

If you’re really set on a device with a removable battery, the XMax Starry V3 takes a standard 18650 used for most e-cigs. With full incremental temperature control, a form factor very similar to the Pax 3, and pretty good vapor quality, the Xmax Starry V3 can be considered the perfect budget herb vape for beginners!

While the conduction heating and chamber produces only average quality vapor with decent vapor quality and flavor, the form factor, removable battery, and full temperature control definitely brings the entire device above average.

  • Removable 18650 Battery
  • Tiny form factor
  • Full temperature control
  • Gets hot

Healthy Rips Fury 2 (POTV One/Grindhouse Shift/Sutra Mini)

With a little digging and luck, you can manage to find the Healthy Rips Fury 2 or similar rebranded models for $100 or less. For a tiny and super portable herb vaporizer, the Fury 2 is one of the best dry herb vapes around. Low cost, great performance, full temperature control, and tiny size makes it a solid pick.

The battery life is a bit on the weak side and isn’t removable, however the relatively powerful hybrid heater more than makes up for it! The tiny size makes it easy to carry anywhere, and for the above average vapor quality, it’s no wonder why this little wonder got so popular. The new Fury Edge is a solid update to the Fury 2 which improves on performance and battery life!

  • Great vapor quality
  • Very small size
  • Full temperature control
  • Weak battery life

Dynavap M

With a cult-like following, the Dynavap Vapcap M took the vaporizer world by storm and is often called the best budget dry herb vape ever! With serious performance and a tiny yet familiar form factor, it hits with hard, powerful clouds and only needs a small amount of herb to use properly. While it uses a torch to heat up, it’s not so easy to use when out and about like at a café or party.

The Dynavap M doesn’t use batteries and instead uses a butane torch lighter to heat up. A regular lighter, candle, or even stove-top can be used too, but the best results definitely come from using a torch lighter. If you want a hard hitting and joint-sized herb vape for under $100, then the Dynavap M is the clear winner. For use with a bubbler and a bit more of an elegant feel, consider the Dynavap Nonavong, it’s definitely worth the extra coins!

  • Powerful hits from a small amount of material
  • Fun to use!
  • Best performance for the price
  • Has a learning curve

Litl 1

For those really on a tight budget and who want an electric herb vaporizer, the Litl 1 is one of the few options you have which aren’t garbage. As the name says, the Litl 1 is petite in size and a good entry to the world of dry herb vaping. The performance is proportionately shrunken down, and we’d recommend the Utillian 421 if you have just a little more to spend – it’s worth it!

Surprisingly, the Litl 1 has adjustable airflow, haptic feedback, and a glass mouthpiece for good flavor. The Litl 1 however does have only 1 temperature setting which may be a deal breaker for most. It’s very easy to use, small, and inexpensive. You can’t expect too much from a unit this price but really it’s the best cheapest dry herb vape we’ve come across!

  • Haptic feedback
  • Very small size
  • Very low cost
  • Poor temperature control

Utillian 421

The Utillian 421 is an upgrade to the ever popular Utillian 420. Bringing a few upgrades to the table, the Utillian 421 has 6 temperature settings to cycle through, an attractive design, and simple one-button operation. For a first foray into the world of dry herb vaping, the Utillian 421 is a decent choice for sure!

The vapor quality is alright as it’s using a standard conduction ceramic chamber and glass mouthpiece, but if you’re looking for something sleek with good battery life, solid performance and low price, then it should satisfy most!

  • Attractive, small design
  • Glass mouthpiece
  • Simple to use
  • Average vapor quality

Boundless CFC 2.0

Boundless vapes has a solid track record of putting out affordable yet quality devices. The Boundless CFC 2.0 is a very no-frills, simplistic, and small dry herb vaporizer. While it uses basic tech like a classic ceramic conduction oven and plastic mouthpiece, the full temperature control and relatively large chamber can give it some solid performance.

While you’ll likely want to upgrade from the Boundless CFC 2.0 (and other budget herb vapes) in the long run, it’s a solid entry level piece and good if you don’t want to go too deep into the world of dry herb vapes.

  • Very compact size
  • Large chamber (0.3 grams)
  • Simple to use
  • Average vapor quality

Vivant Ambit

Housing a powerful convection heater, it’s one of the only budget dry herb vapes to use such technology. The result is big powerful hits with solid taste from a small amount of material. While it’s not perfect and the hits can be a bit hot, the Ambit absolutely rips through a water piece and is super portable!

The battery life is a bit on the soft side due to the tiny size and some people have even had problems with combustion, but all-in-all it’s a portable powerhouse and probably the best option if you want raw performance in the smallest battery-powered package.

  • Powerful convection heating element for good vapor quality
  • Small size
  • Excellent pairing with a water pipe
  • Weak battery life

Flowermate Slick

Flowermate has become a familiar name with their reliable and budget-oriented devices. The Flowermate Slick is an attractive offering from them which is easy to use, houses a removable 18650 battery, and sports a glass vapor-path. While the Slick isn’t the heaviest hitter, it’s easy to use, convenient, and has that Flowermate reputation which makes it solid.

If the Xmax Starry V3 appeals to you but you want something a little different, consider the Flowemate Slick for sure! Its flavor is a step up, has a comfortable form factor, and certainly a solid device for beginners. The removable battery is of course great to have too!

  • Removable 18650 battery
  • Slick and attractive design
  • Good vapor quality
  • Not the heaviest hitter

Arizer Extreme Q

While it’s definitely above $100 and a desktop vaporizer, we can’t help but include the Arizer Extreme Q and to a lesser extent, the Arizer V-Tower. The Extreme Q has great vapor quality, a very large chamber, a powerful convection heater, and awesome price point! Not only that, it’s extremely versatile with its ability to use bags, a whip, or direct draw. A wireless remote, multiple fan settings, and complete temperature control makes it hard to beat, especially for the price.

The Arizer V-Tower is a touch cheaper but removes the wireless remote and fan option. We’d say it’s worth it to spend a little more on the Extreme Q. It can be found on sale quite frequently and definitely worth looking into if you primarily vape at home.

  • Terrific vapor quality!
  • Versatile – used with bags, a whip, or direct draw.
  • Very reasonable price
  • Plugs into wall only

Healthy Rips Fury Edge

The Healthy Rips Fury Edge is a well-made upgrade to the above-mentioned Fury 2. It has a much larger battery, upgraded bowl + heater, and similar small size. Its performance is solid, uses USB-C charging, and definitely one to look out for. It is a chunk above $100, but certainly worth the extra coins for the trade-off in vapor quality.

The vapor quality in particular is why we love the Fury Edge so much. The hybrid heating element does great and provides solid flavor, good cloud production, and heats up quick. Not only that, the battery life is dramatically improved over the Fury 2, which was our main gripe with the unit. It’s definitely worth saving up for a Fury Edge!

  • Very good vapor quality
  • Compact size
  • Good battery life
  • A little more expensive

Boundless CFX

An alternative to the ever loved Storz & Bickel Mighty, the Boundless CFX has a huge chamber which can pump our serious clouds of vapor thanks to its strong hybrid heating element. The flavor is alright and the vapor can be a bit warm for some, but you really get your money’s worth in terms of power.

It’s definitely larger than most and the plastic/rubber construction isn’t a favorite, but the terrific battery life, full temperature control, and knockout power is what makes it. It heats up quick, has haptic feedback, and is quite simple to operate. The downsides? It’s a bit large and a little more expensive than most budget dry herb vapes on the market.

  • Large bowl and powerful hybrid heater
  • Great battery life
  • Fast heat-up time
  • Quite large
