What makes the Lookah Snail vape unique?

Having a vape battery that looks like a snail is kind of kickass!

Coming in at just under 2 inches tall, it’s super easy to hide in the palm of your hand and just have the mouthpiece of your cartridge exposed.

One thing I noticed is that the body is made from metal, and makes me think that it will be very resistant to drops and accidental falls. It’s also a great feature to have for the price tag being under $40.

Best of all though, it’s got a very sturdy base which makes it easy to stand up, unlike most Cart Pens.

How to use the Lookah Snail?

Using the Snail Vape Pen is a breeze!

You just need to press the power button five times to turn it on, and then you can choose your preferred voltage level by pressing the power button twice.

The button is easy and convenient to click

From there, you can press and hold for manual heating, or you can triple click to activate a 10 second pre-heat.

  • Having a button is always good for thicker oils and clearing out potential clogged carts compared to draw-activated batteries!

As some added peace of mind bonuses, the snail battery vape is protected from overheating, short-circuiting, and overcharging!

Voltage Control and Vapor Quality

The voltage range provide good control of how you want your cartridge to perform. Whether that be a big cloud with less flavor, or more flavor with smaller clouds, it can perform how you want it to. Here’s how I found the Lookah Snail voltage settings colors while using my Tropicanna Banana cart during testing:

  • 3.2V – Blue Light and Flavorful Vapor
  • 3.6V – Purple A Good Mix of Flavor and Cloud Production
  • 4.1V – White – Harsh Vapor better for Connoisseurs

Overall, it’s a decent range that will give you some control on how you want your cart to perform, especially when you compare it to a harsher 3.8V or 4.2V set voltage that some other entry-level batteries have.

Just a heads up that the voltages are pretty high if you plan on using live resin cartridges, so you might want to consider a battery with a lower voltage for that, like the Dr. Dabber Universal Battery.

The Snail cartridge battery features a 510 thread connection that’s a little hidden in its body. It’s not quite universally compatible since it’s not top loaded, so you won’t be able to fit carts larger than 1mL into the body.

How to clean the Snail Pen?

As a draw activated 510 battery, the only real part of the Snail pen that will need cleaning is the 510 threading, which might get gunked up with dirt or resin after a while. To clean this part, you can use an iso Q-Tip shortly after a session while it’s still warm to clean the threading out.

Portability and Convenience

The Lookah Snail vape was super discreet in my testing, as you’re able to hold it in the palm of your hand and use your index finger to push the button. Only the black ceramic mouthpiece of the battery will be visible during your session if you want, and especially at night, most people will just think that you’re using a nicotine vape.

It also slides effortlessly into most pants pockets, so that wasn’t an issue at all.

  • The only real upgrade you can make here is picking up a 510 Battery Vape Case if you like to travel with multiple carts and a charging cable if you’re a heavy user.

How long will the Lookah Snail battery last?

You’ll be able to get around 200 hits from the battery with a full charge, which means a few days of heavy usage without having to worry.

The light will flash three times to let you know that it’s run out of juice, and it will flash red while it’s charging before turning blue after only twenty minutes.

One of the few downsides is that the included Micro-USB port included in the kit is extremely small, so it might be easy to lose. A lot of the newer 510 batteries are shipping with USB-C as well, which can make life easier now that it’s becoming standard.

Value for your Money

The Snail 2.0 will have a lot of value for users who are looking for a budget friendly and small Cart Battery.

It is a portable, versatile, and easy-to-use 510 battery that is very reliable and won’t crap out on you.

The warranty is 30 days after purchase, so just make sure to hang onto your receipt in case you need to claim anything.

Who’s the Snail 2.0 best for?

The Lookah Snail 2.0 is a good 510 thread battery for anyone that’s looking for a durable option to take with their cartridges on the go. When paired with a vape case, you have a virtually indestructible setup that’s not going to break or die easily.

The brand doesn’t aim to be the best, but they definitely get the job done for it’s low price tag.

  • Lookah Snail 2.0 510 Battery
  • Owner’s Manual

While it might be a bit of a minimalist kit, there’s definitely some cool coil upgrades to convert the battery into a Wax Pen. These available coils include three different ceramic options and a dual quartz rod that will all pack a nice punch for a small amount of concentrate.

Comparable Models

I would say that the most comparable model to the Lookah Snail 2.0 would be the CCell Sandwave. They both cost about the same amount of money with a small and sport a durable frame.

The biggest difference is that the Sandwave is purely draw activated without a button though, so it really comes down to preference to which one you’d prefer.

Snail 510 Battery Conclusion

The Lookah Snail 2.0 is a great device for vaping on the go, as it has a long-lasting battery, a durable metal body, and a good button-activation design – You’ll be able to enjoy smooth and flavorful vapor with just a few clicks of a button.

Especially since you’ll be upgrade to a wax atomizer, I think that it’s a cute dab pen battery that I would happily recommend to beginners!

  • The Lookah Snail is not for anyone looking for one of the Best Vape Pens – By far the best on the market is the DaVinci Artiq which has an extended vapor cooling path and different mouthpiece options.
