The Volcano Classic’s temperature ranges from 130° – 230° C / 266° – 446° F which you’ll control on the temperature dial.
This unit uses three LED lights to indicate heat, control, and air. The red button/ light on the left powers up the unit and starts heating. The orange/ yellow button indicates the unit is working when on and turns off when it’s ready to go. The green button on the right turns on the fan and lets you vape away. The fan can be on the noisy side. The unit takes three whole minutes to heat up, which is a bit long, but the wait time is worth it. The vapor quality satisfies even the harshest critics.
How to use the Classic Volcano Vaporizer?
Unlike the Volcano Hybrid, the Volcano Classic Desktop Vaporizer uses a super easy three-button setup that you will control with your hands. These are the heat dial, the heat button, and the air pump button. Once you turn the vape on, set your heat dial and press heat, and then after a few minutes, you can place your balloon onto the chamber and press the air button to fill it in just seconds.
If the 0.5g chamber size is intimidating, you’ll also be able to use the Volcano Classic Chamber Reducer to bring it down to 0.25g and be more compatible with a dosing capsule.
Easy Valve Kit
With an Easy Valve Starter Kit, you’ll get mouthpiece and bag kits that are meant for disposal and are replaceable when it’s time to do so. Reliable balloons since my upgrade from the Extreme Q
Picked this up for a great price from the guys at Tool420. Am loving the balloon setups and how easy it is to use. We are medicinal users, so didn’t need one of the portable ones.
COST TO REPAIR Now Up to $450 CAD !!! — unaffordable shipping cost to Germany, $63 ONE way; plus VAT tax; plus labour charge; plus parts; plus return shipping fee.
Items must now be repaired in Germany, no longer at the California repair centre which was expensive to ship to but doable and worth it.
A Volcano Vaporizer can fit in a 10x10x10 inch box, weighing exactly 4.5 pounds.
The shipping charge for just one way is $63 to over $200 — for ONE WAY. I don’t know how much Storz & Bickel in Germany charge to send the item back.
It is a slap in the face to Canadian customers — when your machine breaks down, you have a very expensive doorstop.
Every country S&B sells machines in should have repair centre to make repairs affordable; also, it is disgustingly environmentally bad to send a device on an airplane halfway across the world when it needs fixing.
Lastly, S&B has REFUSED to answer any of my emails asking about this problem that makes their units unaffordable to repair.
My last repair cost about $80 with $40 shipping both ways to California: $160. A repair job, though, can be as high as a few hundred dollars so sending my machine to Germany would cost between $250 to $450 — and you don’t know the labour/parts/VAT cost until you mail it to Germany!
S&B’s machines are far superior to the competition. It really sucks that they are unaffordable, now, to repair. It really sucks even more that my expensive machine is now a worthless piece of junk.
