Are you in the market for a vapor cup and finding it hard to decide which one to buy?
Vapor cups fill a glass with vapor so you can sip it at your own pace. The Zenco Duo and the Tronian Omegatron 2 are two popular options that are quite appealing and sleek to use. Even though they look alike on a table, they still work in very different ways.
The Zenco Duo is a traditional vapor cup that heats up quickly and produces thick vapor. Whereas, the Tronian Omegatron 2 brings e-rig style heating and control into a vapor cup.
In this Tronian Omegatron 2 vs Zenco Duo review, I compare heating, vapor quality, controls, material compatibility, glass, battery, price, and more.

Heating Technology: Traditional vs. E-Rig Style
Zenco Duo: The Zenco Duo comes with two bottom-heated heating element options, including a Triple Quartz atomizer and a Ceramic Bucket atomizer. The Triple Quartz atomizer helps the vapor cup heat up quickly to produce bigger and denser vapor. However, the Ceramic Bucket option leans towards producing flavorful, smoother, and cooler vapor. Both heat the wax by direct contact, and the Duo starts heating almost instantly.

Omegatron 2: In contrast, the Tronian Omegatron 2 uses a BurstHit 3D heating chamber. This chamber heats your wax from the sidewalls and the bottom at the same time, much like modern e-rig chambers. Its Vortex airflow keeps the melted wax moving, It has a 20 to 35 seconds heat-up duration, and it heats evenly instead of pooling in one spot.

Why does this matter? Big clouds are only part of a good session. The Omegatron 2’s chamber is designed to heat the wax more evenly.
Coming from dry herb, I found the vapor-cup format an easier introduction to wax concentrates than an e-rig. Taking small sips from the glass felt more approachable. For me, it bridges the gap between the familiar pace of a flower session and using concentrates.
Vapor Quality: Strong Clouds without Losing Flavor
Both devices make dense vapor. But the difference is how much say you have. On the Duo, the lower voltages give good flavor but fewer clouds, and the higher ones give bigger clouds with less flavor. The top setting, 4.0V, can feel harsh.

The Omegatron 2 is built to ease that trade-off by managing the selected temperature throughout the session. I can’t say the Omegatron 2 makes bigger clouds every time, since both fill a glass well. But it gives you more control over how that vapor is made, and that is what I would pay for.
What I liked most was being able to take smaller sips from the glass. Compared with my usual e-rig sessions, I found the vapor smoother on my throat and I also noticed less coughing. That made the experience feel less overwhelming, although a smooth sip can still be strong.
Temperature Control: Six Temperatures vs. Four Voltages

After using both vapor cups, I noticed that the temperature control settings are quite different. The Duo adjusts heating through voltage settings. The Omegatron 2 lets you choose a target temperature and manages heating around that setting.
The Zenco Duo has four voltage settings, including 2.5V (yellow), 3.0V (blue), 3.5V (green), and 4.0V (red). You can cycle through them with one button.
On the other hand, the Omegatron 2 features six preset temperature levels from 260°C to 310°C (500°F to 590°F). They are shown with LED colors from dark blue to red, including 260°C (500°F), 270°C (518°F), 280°C (536°F), 290°C (554°F), 300°C (572°F), and 310°C (590°F). The lower levels suit flavor sessions, while the higher levels suit thicker vapor.
For precision, the Omegatron 2 wins. However, for simplicity, the Duo wins, with four choices and one button.
Airflow and Fill Control: A Big Omegatron 2 Advantage
Regarding the airflow and fill control, the Zenco Duo fills the cup with an automatic fan in roughly 15 to 30 seconds. There is nothing to adjust.
Whereas, the Omegatron 2 lets you set heat, pump speed, and fill time on their own:
- Pump speed: Three levels. A slower pump feeds vapor into the glass more gently; a faster pump moves it into the glass more quickly.
- Wax fill time: 30, 60, or 90 seconds.
- Cartridge fill time: 25, 35, or 45 seconds.
This lets you match the session to your dab size and mood. A small dab may suit a shorter fill, and a bigger one a longer fill.
One downside I noticed was vapor drifting out of the top while the glass was filling. If the fan keeps running once the cup is full, some of that vapor escapes and goes to waste. It’s worth watching the fill rather than letting it run longer than you need.
510 Cartridge & Wax Concentrates Compatibility
Both devices work with 510 cartridges and wax concentrates. The Duo uses the same voltage presets for carts and fits cartridges under 13 mm wide. But, Omegatron 2 goes further. It senses whether a wax chamber or a cartridge is attached, then switches to the right heating style on its own.

With 510 cartridges, the Tronian Omegatron 2 uses six Smart Power Curve settings, including 3.3W, 4.2W, 5.3W, 6.4W, 7.7W, and 8.8W. Each one starts at a set power and then drops gradually during the session.
You get a strong start for quick vapor, then a gentler finish that reduces the chance of burning the oil. It also fits wider cartridges, up to 18 mm across (minimum resistance 1.1 ohm), which helps if you use larger carts.
One thing caught me off guard with cartridges. With a regular 510 battery, I’m used to taking short puffs. With the vapor cup, I underestimated how much vapor had already collected in the glass, and the effects were much stronger than I expected. I’d suggest starting with a partially filled glass and a small sip, then pausing before having more.
Glass Cup, Ice and the Social Experience
I also noticed that both devices use a removable glass cup. The Duo comes with two glasses. However, its standard glass cannot hold water or ice, as liquid can leak into the base. Zenco’s optional Flow glass adds water filtration.

In contrast, the Omegatron 2 features a sealed waterfall-style glass cup that can hold ice without letting melted water leak into the base. It also comes with an ice tray and a removable glass straw. You can add ice to cool the vapor or garnish the cup with mint leaves or citrus peel for extra aroma. As the device fills the glass, you can watch the vapor flow down into the cup before inhaling it through the straw.
For me, the glass format makes the most sense in a social setting. I could see it fitting into a small gathering, with the glass passed around between sips. I could draw vapor from just above the rim without pressing my lips against it, although separate glasses or individual mouthpieces would still be my preference for sharing.
Battery Size, Charging and Everyday Use
The Omegatron 2 has a 3150mAh battery, while the Duo has 2200mAh. For most users, a bigger battery is always a plus. Both charge by USB-C, and charging time is close, about 1 to 1.5 hours for the Duo and about 1.5 to 2.5 hours for the Omegatron 2.
For ease of use, the Duo wins. It has one button and starts heating almost instantly. With the Omegatron 2, you pick a level, press the cup toward the base for one second, and wait through a heating stage before it fills. That wait is the price of its more careful extraction, and it gets easy after a few sessions.
Design, Cleaning and Replacement Parts
The cleaning requirements for both vapor cups are fairly similar, but their chamber designs create a slight difference in how to clean.
Zenco Duo: Maintenance is straightforward, especially when using the Ceramic Bucket atomizer. Swab the bucket with an ISO cleaning stick while it’s still warm to prevent residue buildup.
For the Triple Quartz atomizer, sticky concentrates can seep around the exposed coils. This may require occasional deep soaking in isopropyl alcohol. Zenco includes a bristle brush and cleaning sticks in the box to help clear stubborn buildup around the base and threads.
Tronian Omegatron 2: Swab the 3D BurstHit chamber with an ISO cleaning stick immediately after your session. Because the chamber heats from both the sides and bottom, it helps extract concentrates more evenly, reducing unvaporized wax and minimizing waste. This makes immediate swabbing essential to prevent baked-on buildup. You must strictly keep water away from the chamber housing and wipe down the base contacts and threads using ISO wipes.
Cleaning the Glass Cups: Both the Zenco Duo and Omegatron 2 have removable glass cups that can be cleaned separately. Rinse the glass with isopropyl alcohol or Orange Chronic glass cleaner to remove residue, then rinse thoroughly with warm water and allow it to dry completely before reattaching it to the base.
Moreover, replacement parts can matter over time. Parts from the first Omegatron do not fit the Omegatron 2, and Tronian treats the glass cup, chamber cover, and 510 cover as wear parts. For the Duo, spare coils and an extra glass attachment are sold separately.
Price, Value and Warranty
Right now, both the Zenco Duo and the Omegatron 2 are listed on Tools420 within the same price range. Both vapor cups also come with a one-year limited warranty.
On value, the Omegatron 2 gives you more if you will use its extras: temperature control, adjustable pump speed, custom fill times, and smart cartridge curves. If you won’t, the Duo’s simpler setup may be enough.
