Which should you buy?

The DynaVap M 2021, or the DynaVap Omni – Two flagships from the American manufacturer, DynaVap. Year to year, DynaVap has been steadily releasing new models of their M models with very minor tweaks that overall don’t affect the performance very much. But with the Omni and specifically the 2021 version, there is a noticeable difference between these two Portable Vaporizers that are worth examining. In this comparison, we’ll be looking at the differences between the vapor quality and how to use them. While they might look similar at face value with the same VapCap chamber lid design, they’re operated quite differently apart from the patented click to let you know that vaping temperature has been reached.

Key Differences

-Stainless Steel M 2021 vs. Titanium Omni 2021
-Much more customization on the Omni (airflow airports, condenser adjustment, and variable pitch)
-Titanium heats up slower and cools down faster
-$100 M vs. $220+ Omni
-Omni is longer and bulkier
-Better OmniVap flavor
-M models are more easily rebuilt

Same Captive Cap Design

DynaVap uses the same captive cap design that functions by clicking once they reach 350 Fahrenheit. This is done by having a small plate in the chamber expand and click against its chamber. Whether you want to heat the chamber up again or wait and go for a second click is totally up to you. The main difference for the sake of this comparison is that titanium is a less conductive thermal material so your chamber will heat up slower and cool down faster, reducing the risk of accidental combustion in the chamber, and better flavor, as well as your terpenes, will have a chance to be properly heated up in the Omni.

If you’re finding that it’s hard to get a good heating of your DynaVap chamber on your M 2021, you might consider the DynaVap Low Temperature Captive Cap which will click about 20 Fahrenheit lower than normal to help you stop heating at a lower temperature to prevent combustion.

Suitable Substances

They’ll both be able to use concentrates in the chamber by using a DynaCoil, which is basically just a raveled mesh that will help your concentrates slowly melt for an even heat distribution, as well to keep your chamber clean.

Each model has the ‘adjusta-bowl’ feature where you’ll be able to change the standard 0.2g chamber size down to 0.1g on the smaller notch for more of a microdosing experience.

Vapor Quality Comparison

In general, the consensus is that the Omni has the better vapor quality thanks to the small features you can use to adjust the vapor cooling and airflow. Beginning with the mouthpiece, you can twist it clockwise for more airflow to the airpath, or less by twisting counterclockwise. As the design is also longer and the condenser has more surface area, you’ll be able to get more cooling just naturally as the heat disperses in the vaporizer. With the modular design of the Omni, you can have control of the airflow by rocking the body of the vape back and forth during slow inhales, as you’ll be adjusting the airflow through different channels, creating additional cooling. Well, that’s what they tell you anyway! For me personally, I found that the airflow was slightly better, and as was the taste. As I use a twin-flame torch lighter that heated up both captive caps in just seconds, the chamber material didn’t really make a difference and is somewhat irrelevant to most users.

DynaVap M 2021 vs. Omni Efficiency

Even for me as a relatively high tolerance user, one chamber from either vape is enough for me. Although the bowl is just 0.15g on a lighter pack, the rapid extraction and one-hitter style of extraction is enough to get the job done. Personally, I just use the chamber lid to knock out the AVB (Already Vaped Bud) out after I’m done, and since the butane torch is only on for a few seconds, you’ll be able to get plenty of hits from your lighter before needing to refill it. This is why DynaVaps can be a more viable option than battery vaporizers as they require no time charging or on part replacements.

Ease of Use Comparison

If you’re reading this article, you most likely already know how to use the DynaVap: Load the chamber, re-cap, heat, inhale.

The Omni does have a few more edges to the end of its chamber though, which makes it a bit easier to take a ‘bite’ out of loose flower, though. This works especially well with the DynaStash where you can have your herb in one end of the chamber, and your vaporizer in the other. To use it, all you’ll have to do is smoosh your empty chamber into your flower, place the vape onto the magnet, and bring out your torch. As torches have grown in popularity, most people seem to have found that the Triple Flame Torch Lighter to be the best DynaVap lighter. You can just place your chamber lid into the middle of all three flame on a 90-degree angle, and you’ll get a super-even heating of your chamber in just seconds.

How to clean a DynaVap?

For maintenance, make sure that you separate each part individually by first taking off the chamber lid and chamber itself from the body by pulling gently and twisting it. After that, you can poke out the condenser (air path tube) out from the body. Once all the pieces are removed, you can remove the O-rings from connecting parts with either your fingernails or something narrow and sharp like a dab tool. After a ten-minute soak, you can then put the vape back together the way you took it apart. Additionally, you may want to use an isopropyl alcohol Q-Tip on the chamber screen to get rid of any leftover debris to ensure the best airflow possible. A DynaVap maintenance kit will also help you keep your device in tip-top shape.

Dynavap M 2021 vs. Omni Review Conclusion

In conclusion, whether you want to upgrade to the Omni is totally up to you. If you haven’t bought either vaporizer yet, I’d suggest sticking to the DynaVap M 2021 as it’s somewhat more beginner-friendly and the vapor quality is about the same, it’ll be the better first purchase for most people.
