Introduction

The Bomb eRig is a new mid-range electric dab rig designed to compete with models like the NEW Puffco Peak, Focus V Carta 2, Core 2.1, and Utillian 8. 

While it doesn’t have the advanced tech of the Puffco Peak Pro 3DXL or Dr. Dabber Switch 2, it still offers a big 3D chamber and aims to deliver thick flavorful vapor, easy use, and solid performance.

But does it really deliver?

I put the Bomb Sykloud to the test over multiple sessions to see how well it performs. In this review, I’ll break down its design, vapor quality, heating system, battery life, and overall value. I’ll also compare it with other eRigs to highlight what it does well and where it falls short.

How It Works

This eRig is designed to be simple to use while still offering advanced heating features. It uses a ceramic bucket atomizer that ensures even heating and preserves flavor for smooth and tasty dabs.

How to Use the Bomb eRig

1. Load Your Dab – Use a dab tool to place a small amount of concentrate into the ceramic chamber.
2. Attach the Glass Bubbler – Fill it with water to the recommended level for cooler, smoother hits.
3. Turn It On – Press the power button 5 times to power up the device.
4. Select Your Temperature – Use the button to cycle through the precise temperature settings. The light will turn solid green when ready.
5. Wait for Heat-Up – It takes about 15–20 seconds to reach the set temperature.
6. Inhale and Enjoy – Use the spinner carb cap for better airflow and smoother vapor.

How to Clean the Bomb eRig

Atomizer Cleaning:

1. Twist off the atomizer from the base.
2. Light Cleaning: Use a cotton swab with 90% isopropyl alcohol to remove residue.
3. Deep Cleaning: Soak the atomizer chamber in 90% isopropyl alcohol for 20 minutes (never use water).

Base Cleaning:

1. Remove the glass bubbler and atomizer before cleaning.
2. Use a cotton swab soaked in ISO to gently clean the gold contact points and airpath.
3. Important: Never let water touch the base. Do not reattach the atomizer if it’s still wet.

Glass Bubbler Cleaning:

1. Remove the glass carefully from the base.
2. Soak it in isopropyl alcohol to break down buildup.
3. Rinse thoroughly with water (ISO tastes bad, so remove all residue).
4. Let it fully dry before reattaching to the base.
5. Avoid getting water inside the chamber from airflow space to prevent damage.

Flavour & Vapor Quality 

This device delivers excellent vapor with rich flavor, thanks to its ceramic bucket chamber, which preserves taste at lower temperatures. The fidget carb cap ensures even wax vaporization for maximum potency. At higher temperatures, it produces thick, dense clouds.

The 3D chamber, which is larger than those in other mid-range e-rigs, retains heat well and vaporizes concentrates more efficiently without wasting.

While it doesn’t quite match the Puffco in flavor quality, it still delivers good taste, especially compared to other mid-ranged e-rigs. At higher temps, the Bomb Sykloud creates dense, milky clouds, making it perfect for those who prioritize cloud production. Though the vapor may be slightly harsher than premium eRigs like the Switch 2.

Design & Build Quality 

The Bomb eRig has a simple, yet stylish design that stands out with its compact size and variety of colors, including a bright yellow that reminds you of a minion character, especially the orange one. It looks better than the Core 2.1, Focus V Carta, and even the Utillian 6. Its shiny surface gives it a high-quality feel when you hold it, making it a great choice for those who appreciate both functionality and aesthetic appeal.

It consists of:

• A sturdy base that houses the battery, screen, and controls.
• A glass bubbler for water filtration and cooling.
• A 3D XL ceramic chamber for even heating and bigger dabs.
• A spinner carb cap that helps with airflow and vaporization.

The quarter-turn chamber lock makes it easy to set up, and the ceramic heating system ensures even heating across the surface.

However, the glass bubbler is fragile, so you’ll need to handle it with care.

Temperature Control 

This eRig offers precise temperature settings from 200°F to 700°F (93.3°C to 371.1°C), allowing for both low-temp flavor hits and high-temp cloud sessions. However, even at the lowest setting (200°F / 93.3°C), it still feels slightly harsher compared to other premium eRigs.

This isn’t a deal-breaker, but it’s a frustrating design flaw.

Battery Life & Portability

The battery lasts 20–30 dabs per charge, depending on the temperature settings. It charges via USB-C, but takes around 2–3 hours to fully recharge.

Since it’s non-replaceable, you’ll need a new unit once it wears out. The battery life isn’t great for the chamber size, drains quickly during long sessions, and takes too long to charge.

For portability, it’s easy to use with one hand and can be taken on trips for holiday sessions. However, it’s not ideal for daily use on the go—if you need something for quick dabs during a work break, a wax pen is a better option.

Ease of Use

This dab eRig is easy to use with just one button and a screen. However, it doesn’t have a button to lower the temperature, which can be a bit frustrating. Cleaning is easy, but you’ll need to do it regularly to keep it working well.

My favorite part is the spinner carb cap. It’s made of stainless steel and spins like a fidget spinner, which is fun and helpful. Most high-end rigs have directional caps, but this one works even better. A quick spin helps the material spread evenly inside the chamber and vaporize efficiently with less waste, making the vapor smoother and more even.

Comparison to Competitors

Final Verdict – Should You Buy or Not?

The Bomb eRig is a solid mid-range option with a cool design, easy operation, and thick vapor production. The fidget carb cap improves airflow, and the adjustable temperature settings allow for a customizable experience. The glass bubbler adds smoothness, making each session enjoyable.

However, the battery life is a major drawback—it doesn’t hold much charge for the size of the chamber and takes a long time to recharge, even with USB-C.

Overall, the Bomb Sykloud is a good pick if you want something easy to use and that makes big clouds, but it feels overpriced for what you get. If flavor is more important to you, the NEW Puffco Peak is a great option in the same price range. For better temperature control with app functionality, the Focus V Carta 2 is the better choice. That said, compared to models like the Core 2.1 or Utillian 8, the Bomb Sykloud still holds up well in terms of vapor quality and performance, it doesn’t offer the best value for its price..
