The Flowermate Slick vaporizer is stylish, durable, functional and easy to use. The Flowermate brand is well known in the vaporizer world for producing high quality vapes with good vapor quality that are built to last. In our Flowermate Slick review, we’ll discuss how to use the device, keep it clean, how it performs and what we thought about it. Keep reading to see if it’s a good fit for what you’re looking for.

Product Features:

  • Black Ceramic Oven
  • Dual Functionality
  • Hybrid Heating
  • 40 Second Heat Up Time
  • Swappable Battery
  • Glass Mouthpiece
  • Magnetic Lid

How it works and Ease of Use:

Like most vapes, be sure to turn your Flowermate Slick on to the highest temperature when you first take it out of the box, in order to burn off any residue that might be leftover from the manufacturing process. It’s a good idea to do that at least three times before you load up your material for your first session.

To use the Flowermate Slick vaporizer, first take off the lid and mouthpiece and pack your herbs. Then, press the button five times to turn the device on. It will vibrate and the light will turn solid when it’s ready to go. Press the button 3 times to toggle between the 3 preset temperatures. The auto shutoff feature will turn off the Slick after five minutes of not using the device.

Temperature Settings:

There are three preset temperatures on the Flowermate Slick vape, and they are color coordinated. The blue light temperature is 196 Celsius, the green light temperature is 205 Celsius, and the red light temperature is 215 Celsius. Most users seem to think that the sweet spot is the green light temperature at 205.

Heating System and Chamber Size:

The Flowermate Slick vaporizer uses a hybrid heating system with both convection and conduction. The chamber is high quality, and is made from black ceramic. You’ll be able to fit about 0.4 grams of dry herbs into this device. The Slick takes about 35 seconds to heat up, which is above average.

Vapor Quality:

The vapor quality on this unit is pretty good. Most rips we took were flavorful and smooth. The glass Flowermate Slick mouthpiece and the high quality black ceramic chamber definitely help in that regard. As far as vapor production, it’s a bit below average. But for the price tag and what this device is meant for, we were satisfied with our sessions with it, and our customers seem to agree. The pods that are included are great for using waxy concentrates or if you’re ready for a new session with a different strain.

Battery Life:

The Flowermate Slick vaporizer has an 18650, 2500-mAh-lithium ion Battery. You’ll get about an hour of continuous use per charge. It’s a nice feature that the battery is removable, because you can easily buy a new one to swap out while your other one is charging to always keep your sessions going. If you’re looking for a device with a longer battery life, consider upgrading to the Arizer Air 2.

Aesthetics and Manufacturing Quality:

The Flowermate Slick vape has a carbon fiber finish, which we thought looked really stylish. The unit is definitely built to last as long as you take good care of it. The lid for the Flowermate Slick mouthpiece is a nice touch as well. The lights around the button add to the overall aesthetics of the device. We thought it was a cool feature that they change color according to the temperature. The Slick definitely lives up to its name!

Portability and Discreetness:

Portability and discreetness is one area that is a bit lacking for the Flowermate Slick vape. It’s over six inches tall and weighs four grams. It’s not really that heavy, but the carbon fiber metal finish does add a bit of weight to it. It’s no desktop vaporizer size, but there are definitely smaller and more discreet vaporizers on the market today, if that’s what you’re going for. One good thing about carrying the Flowermate Slick is that the magnetic metal lid protects the glass mouthpiece in case you accidentally drop it.

What Comes With the Flowermate Slick Vaporizer?

Along with the Flowermate Slick vape itself, you get a nice amount of included accessories. It comes with 5 oven and 5 mouthpieces screens made from stainless steel, a tool for packing and dabbing, a cleaning brush, the 2500 mAh removable battery, a Micro-USB charging cable, a pod for vaping oily wax, a dry herb pod, and the Flowermate Slick manual. There is a 1-year warranty on the device and its parts, and a 90-day warranty on the battery.

How to Clean:

Maintaining your Flowermate Slick vape and keeping it clean is easy. The brush that’s included easily gets rid of any material leftover from your previous session. Every once in a while, use some Q-tips soaked in alcohol on the mouthpiece. Grime sticks also work really well to keep your Flowermate Slick vaporizer nice and clean.

Summary and Comparison:

If you’re new to vaporizing, the Flowermate Slick vape is a good choice to get started. It’s affordable, the one button control is basic and easy to use, it offers solid vapor quality and it won’t break easily. The included pods for concentrates and different strains add value to the device. Most newbies have no trouble unboxing it, firing it up to remove any manufacturing residue and then getting right into their first session. The Vapium Lite is a good comparison to this device, due to their similar sizes and price tags. The Vapium Lite is a bit stealthier than the Flowermate Slick vape, but the Slick can vape both herbs and concentrates.
