Who Should Buy the Ispire Daab?
The Ispire Daab is designed to bring some of the traditional glass dab-rig experience into a modern, torch-free e-rig.
That’s right – the Daab name is pretty accurate. Ispire, the creators of the Ispire Wand, designed the Daab to recreate as much of the traditional dab-rig experience as possible in an electric dab rig.
There are a few major differences, of course, including the reclaim cup, separate inner glass cup, induction heating, and precise temperature control. With a wide temperature range of 250°F to 800°F, there is plenty of room to experiment with both lower-temperature flavor and hotter, denser vapor.
I spent some time testing the Daab with concentrates to see how its induction heating, glass vapor path, battery system, and overall performance compare with more conventional e-rigs.

Ispire Daab Electric Heating
As an induction-heated dab rig, the Ispire Daab works differently from most e-rigs that rely on ceramic or quartz atomizers. Instead, the Daab uses induction to heat a separate glass concentrate cup while keeping the vapor path focused around glass components.
The induction heating element sits underneath the reclaim cup. Once the correct pieces are in place, the system transfers energy to the induction-compatible material built into the inner cup assembly, heating the concentrate without using a conventional exposed coil.
One advantage of this design is that the heater only operates when the proper cup assembly is detected. The included silicone sleeves and protective pieces also make the glass easier to handle during setup and cleaning.
One of the Daab’s biggest selling points is its glass-focused vapor path. Because the concentrate sits in a glass cup and the vapor travels through glass components, the Daab minimizes contact with other materials compared with many atomizer-based e-rigs.
The metal components involved in the induction system are used to generate heat rather than functioning as the surface your concentrate directly sits on, which helps give the Daab its clean, traditional banger-style feel.

Ispire Daab Portability
Since the Ispire Daab packs a large bubbler, induction system, replaceable batteries, and several glass components into the kit, it’s bigger than most portable e-rigs.
It measures roughly 10 inches tall and weighs a little over one pound, so this isn’t something you’re going to slip into a pocket. On the plus side, the included suitcase-style carrying case makes it much easier to transport the entire rig and its glass pieces safely.
I would consider it transportable rather than truly portable. It’s best suited to home use, trips, or social sessions where you can bring the full case with you.
Can You Use Dry Herb in the Daab?
The Daab is designed primarily for concentrates. Its induction cup and relatively small chamber make it much better suited to wax than loose dry herb.
Trying to load flower into this type of chamber isn’t practical because loose material can move around the glass assembly and won’t extract the way it does in a dedicated dry herb vaporizer.
If using both concentrates and dry herb matters to you, the Focus V Carta Sport is a more flexible current option because it can use a separate dry herb atomizer in addition to its standard concentrate setup.

Vapor Quality
The glass vapor path is one of the Daab’s biggest strengths, but the actual extraction performance matters just as much. I found that roughly 0.1g to 0.3g of concentrate works well depending on how large you want the session to be.
I preferred to preload the concentrate because it’s much easier than trying to place a dab into an already-hot glass cup. With the carb cap in place, you can watch vapor begin to build before starting your draw.
I generally stayed around 550°F / 288°C because the Daab was already producing dense vapor at that temperature. If you’re new to the device, starting lower and gradually increasing the temperature makes it easier to find the balance between flavor and cloud production that works for you.
For a hot start, wait until the Daab reaches your selected temperature before placing the concentrate into the inner cup with the included dab tool, then replace the carb cap.
I also prefer the Daab’s glass-heavy vapor-path design to setups such as the Focus V Carta Sport, which uses a removable silicone airpath. The tradeoff is that the Carta Sport’s ceramic Intelli-Core atomizer delivers stronger, more conventional e-rig performance with simpler one-button operation.
The Daab also uses a separate reclaim bowl beneath the concentrate cup. After heavier sessions, some residue will collect there, which helps keep excess concentrate away from the rest of the device.
Battery Life Review
The Ispire Daab uses two swappable 18650 batteries, which is one of its more unusual advantages compared with e-rigs that rely on permanently installed batteries.
When you first receive the device, open the battery compartment and remove any shipping protection before charging the unit fully.
- You can expect over an hour of runtime depending on temperature and session length.
- A full charge takes roughly 2 to 2.5 hours.
- The USB-C port supports pass-through charging.
- The replaceable battery design can extend the usable life of the device compared with rigs with sealed batteries.
For heavier users, being able to replace the batteries is a significant advantage because you’re not forced to retire the entire rig when the original cells eventually lose capacity.

How Does the Ispire Daab Compare to Other E-Rigs?
Overall, the Ispire Daab compares well with other e-rigs if flavor purity, precise temperature control, and a traditional glass-rig feel matter more to you than maximum portability.
The Daab doesn’t produce vapor quite as aggressively as the Focus V Carta Sport, which uses an evenly heated ceramic Intelli-Core atomizer, but the Daab has the advantage of induction heating and a glass-focused vapor path.
If you care more about value and straightforward operation, the Core 2.1 is a stronger alternative. It uses a large 3D ceramic atomizer and simple one-button controls, while the Daab justifies its higher price with induction heating, replaceable batteries, precise temperature control, and more extensive glass components.
If induction heating itself is what attracts you to the Daab but you want a more powerful premium setup, the Dr. Dabber Switch 2 is the higher-end alternative. It uses a much larger induction cup and more advanced heating control, although it also sits in a significantly higher price tier.
How to Use the Ispire Daab
When your Daab arrives, it won’t be fully assembled, but the setup becomes straightforward once you’ve done it once.
Getting the Bubbler Ready
- Fill the bubbler with water up to the marked fill line through the mouthpiece.
- Place the reclaim cup into position.
- Lower the filled bubbler into its holder above the reclaim cup.
- Place the inner cup into the bubbler chamber.
- Place the carb cap on top when you’re ready for the session.
Full Assembly
- Place the reclaim cup into the induction heater opening.
- Position the filled bubbler above the reclaim cup.
- Place the inner cup into the bubbler.
- Place the carb cap on top of the inner cup.
Once the e-rig is assembled, press the power button five times to turn it on.
You can switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius using the arrow controls and adjust the selected temperature directly from the digital display. The Daab can be set anywhere from 250°F to 800°F.
In Auto Mode, double-click the power button to begin heating. The indicator will show that the cup is heating and then change once the selected temperature has been reached.
I personally prefer cold starts. I preload the concentrate, place the carb cap on, and then begin heating. This makes loading easier and lets you watch the vapor develop inside the glass.
If the induction cup isn’t seated correctly, the display may show a “No Load” warning. If that happens, make sure the glass cup and reclaim assembly are properly positioned before trying again.
How to Clean the Ispire Daab
For regular maintenance, I recommend wiping down the inner glass cup with a vape cleaning stick after each session while the residue is still easy to remove.
If you begin to notice heavier discoloration on the inner cup or reclaim bowl, pour a small amount of Orange Chronic into a suitable container and clean the removable glass pieces separately.
You can also add a small amount of cleaner to the bubbler, gently shake it to loosen residue, and rinse thoroughly afterward.
Make sure every component is completely clean, rinsed, and dry before reassembling and using the Daab again.
Warranty
The Ispire Daab comes with a 1-year limited warranty covering eligible defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Batteries and glass accessories are excluded from the standard warranty coverage.
Ispire Daab Review Conclusion
In conclusion, the Daab is one of the closer electronic interpretations of a traditional glass dab rig. Its combination of induction heating, a glass concentrate cup, water filtration, and precise temperature control creates an experience that feels noticeably different from the ceramic atomizer systems found in most modern e-rigs.
I would have preferred a more obvious timed heating option because it’s possible to get distracted while the heater is running. I also think the reclaim glass could have been integrated more elegantly into the bubbler instead of existing as another separate piece to assemble and clean.
Those quirks aside, the Daab is really aimed at users who care more about glass, induction heating, replaceable batteries, and precise temperature control than getting the smallest or hardest-hitting e-rig possible.
If you value clean flavor, a glass-focused vapor path, replaceable batteries, and induction heating more than maximum portability, the Ispire Daab is still a compelling e-rig.
It still doesn’t quite earn a spot among our Best Electric Dab Rigs, mainly because newer competitors offer easier operation and stronger overall performance, but the Daab remains unusually appealing for users who specifically want induction heating and a glass-heavy vapor path.
