On this vaporizer, the number 20 is significant for a few reasons. Let’s explore this Venty vaporizer review to unlock the hidden message behind this secret, venti-sized easter egg. 

New Hybrid Heating: Tiny, Mighty and Revolutionary

Storz and Bickel engineers spent a lot of time (and R&D money) on the mini-heater and the flowmeter, which made the Venty’s heating system much smaller, more consistent, and much more efficient than the Mighty Plus vaporizer’s heater. 

Venty Mini-Heater

The Venty has a newly designed, hybrid mini-heater using convection and conduction heating. 

This mini-heater is fast and has a 20 second heat up time to fully heat the chamber. This is 3x faster than the Mighty Plus’s heat up time that takes 60 seconds or longer.  

Newer high-performance portable devices like the Utillian 850 also follow this trend of faster, more efficient hybrid heating systems, focusing on quick heat-up times and consistent vapor output for a more premium user experience.

Another revolutionary design in the Venty’s heating system is the smart “flowmeter”.

This flow meter measures the strength of your draws while you inhale, and adjusts the heating, keeping the chamber temperature and vapor clouds consistent while vaping.

Now that’s what I call a Venty. 

Looking at the vapor quality, I focus on three key parts to summarize what I like in a vaporizer: the vapor flavor, the airflow and the cloud production. 

Taste the Vapor: Precise Temperature Control

One of the Venty’s key strengths is producing smooth and flavorful vapor; much like the other Storz & Bickel vaporizers on the market.

Thanks to its precise temperature control, Venty vape users can select the exact degree to their desired temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit. This includes temperatures below 180°C (356°F) down to 40°C (104°F) for clean terpene extraction.

While there are other vaporizers that produce great flavor too, such as the Airvape Legacy Pro and Arizer Solo 3, you can’t go wrong with the Venty.

Though the vapor flavor is pretty much the same as previous S&B dry herb vaporizers, the Venty keeps it real and delivers that Storz & Bickel chef’s kiss. The most passionate dry herb vape users love this stuff. 

If you also use the Venty for concentrates, it heats up to around 210°C (410°F). That works fine for herbs but can struggle with thick concentrates. The newest Zeus Arc GT4, on the other hand, goes up to 255°C (491°F) in Wax Mode. This higher temperature handles even tough concentrates like shatter or diamonds, while maintaining smooth airflow and full flavor, making every session easier and more enjoyable.

Insane Airflow: Adjustable Airflow

The adjustable airflow is easily the best part about the Venty dry herb vaporizer. It has the best airflow in the industry by a mile. It’s almost too good. 

At its maximum capacity, 20 liters per minute, the Venty airflow has virtually zero draw resistance, and is so smooth it feels like normal breathing. It’s nice that the airflow is adjustable too as that lets you add draw resistance to change up your vaping session. 

You adjust the airflow on the orange airflow dial on the cooling unit, below the mouthpiece: 3 lines is maximum airflow, and the semi-circle is completely closed airflow, with everything else in between (one and two lines). 

I’m gonna be honest, the maximum 20L airflow feels just like you’re breathing air normally. 

Volcano Vaporizer Mini: Massive Clouds

The Venty’s impressive airflow produces serious clouds. It’s capable of producing massive clouds like the iconic Volcano vaporizer. 

Thanks to its advanced hybrid mini-heater and flow meter, the Venty automatically adjusts the temperature during use. keeping the cloud production consistent while vaping. This smart feature produces hefty and satiating vapor clouds, much like a mini Volcano vaporizer. 

The Venty delivers an enjoyable high and premium, portable vaping experience without the bulk and stay-at-home nature of its Volcano vaporizer uncle. 

Venty Cooling Unit: 2-Level Vapor Cooling

The Venty mouthpiece top is called the “cooling unit”. It’s another feature that was improved from the previous S&B portable vaporizers, using 2-levels for double the cooling. Its housing is also “double-walled” which makes the vaporizer housing touchable while reaching high temperatures. 

Vapor is cooled in the top and bottom parts of the Venty Cooling Unit, providing a longer and cooler vapor path for improved smoothness and vapor flavor. 

S&B added an extra rectangular screen inside the Venty’s cooling unit for extra filtration.

The Venty also uses an isolated air path that keeps outside air isolated and pure from the mechanical parts of the vaporizer that heat the chamber and air. 

Portable Volcano Vaporizer: Powerful and Discreet (It Tries)

Storz & Bickel vaporizers like the OG Volcano Classic vaporizer are not known for being discreet.

Twenty years later (teehee), the Venty vaporizer has Volcano-quality vapor, being more portable than the Volcano, and with much stronger battery life than the Crafty+ vaporizer.

So it’s a portable vaporizer, but is it a discreet vaporizer? Well, it tries.

It’s a big vaporizer, but its slim and tall design does fit in your pocket, much better than the Mighty+ vaporizer. Make sure your pockets are big enough (figuratively, and literally).

If you’re running with it in your pocket, it’s great for leg day training.

Solid Battery Life: High Performance

The Venty has great battery life of 60 minutes of usage, or 10 sessions on average. 

Its battery life is not “the best ever”, which goes to the Arizer Solo 3, but for the amount of power and vapor quality this vaporizer produces, its 60 minute battery life is sufficient for the Venty’s talents. 

It houses two 18650 lithium ion batteries with battery power of 5940mah. Storz & Bickel cites that the Venty boasts “a maximum power usage of 130 W @ 16 Amps”, meaning it has a ton of power for its size. 

The Venty has USB-C charging, and can upgrade to the S&B USB-C Supercharger that completely charges its battery in just over an hour (from 0 to 100%). It’s common for some vaporizers to take several hours to completely charge, so the USB-C fast charging is useful. 

The Venty has pass-through charging so it can be used while plugged in (it does not charge during use), and also has an automatic shut off timer after a 1 minute and 40 seconds of usage. This preserves the battery life on one charge. 

Elite Vaporizer with Easy Controls

Storz and Bickel get the little things right on the Venty, including its user-friendly interface. 

Here is how to use the Venty vaporizer: 

• Press the power button once to turn on the Venty and it will automatically heat.
• Press the up “+” and down “-” buttons to precisely control the temperatures.
• Press and hold the power button to turn off the Venty. The screen will turn blue.
• To enable Bluetooth pairing, press “-” and the power button together on the blue screen.

Press the up “+” and down “-” buttons together to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit. 

Vape Hack: During my usage, the LED screen bruises when using the up and down buttons. Something to be aware of, and pre-set temperature changes solve this problem.   

The Venty has “single-button operation” to switch between the pre-set Basic, Boost and Superboost temperatures. Push the power button twice (2) to quickly cycle through:

• Basic 180°C (356°F)
• Boost 195°C (383°F)
• Superboost 210°C (410°F)
• Back to Basic.

It also includes a color-coded LED screen:

• Orange means the Venty is turned on, and heating. 
• Green means the Venty is done heating (to your desired temperature).
• Blue means the Venty is turning off, and also allows Bluetooth pairing mode.

Storz and Bickel Web App: Bluetooth Connectivity

A cool feature is that the Venty works with the S&B Web App through Bluetooth connectivity, which is also where firmware updates are done. It’s optional to use, but there are some neat features you have access to, including changing your temperature setting digitally. 

When the screen is blue, press the power button and the down “-” button together to enable Bluetooth pairing mode. The blue screen will show “bLE”, and use the up “+” and down “-” buttons to disable and enable Bluetooth pairing. 

Vape Hack: The Bluetooth logo shows up in the bottom right corner with two circles, indicating Bluetooth is enabled. 

One feature is it allows you to lower the LED screen’s brightness, which helps your vaporizer be more subtle and discreet when using it in public (it uses less battery too, which is nice).

You can also turn vibration on or off, and enable the blinking °C or °F during Boost and Superboost. 

The other customization settings safeguard the internal battery from aging. 

• Charge Current Optimization: slows charging to gently charge the battery.
• Charge Voltage Limit: stops charging at 90% to avoid over charging the battery. 

Vape Hack: When the battery is 100% charged, remove the vaporizer from the power supply to reduce internal battery aging. This applies to iPhone and Android smartphones too.

A High Price: The BMW of Vaporizers

Straight out of Germany, Storz & Bickel is a prestigious vaporizer manufacturer. As S&B products are made in Germany, their vaporizer prices, including the Venty, are high.

The good news is the Venty has something higher than its price: You (getting high is priceless).

That being said, the Venty is a remarkable vaporizer that performs appropriately to its price tag. If the Venty vaporizer is what your heart is set on, it’s worth the investment (don’t settle for something less). 

Because its price is super high, it’s not for everyone. However, it is a great vaporizer for whoever wants the “best of the best” type of products. Both first-time vaporizer users, and seasoned vaporizer veterans will appreciate this vaporizer. 

Venty Vaporizer Cleaning Guide

The Venty chamber is easy to clean. Dump out the AVB (already vaped botanical) using the S&B Filling Chamber Tool or S&B Cleaning Brush, both are included in the box.

Vape Hack: Clean your cooling unit after each use with the S&B Cleaning Brush removing the vaped debris. More frequent, fast cleaning significantly reduces build up and makes the cleaning process much easier.   

Remove the fine screen at the bottom of the chamber using a pair of tweezers. This screen does not need to be cleaned as often as the cooling unit. 

The cooling unit is where the fun really starts.

Disassemble the cooling unit by removing the mouthpiece and using the notch on the mouthpiece base to turn the orange S&B emblem, unlocking the cooling unit.

Vape Hack: Leave the Cooling Unit on the Venty and pull it off the vaporizer for the easiest removal. 

Once your cooling unit is taken apart, remove and set aside the silicone seal rings and remove the coarse screen by pressing down into the cooling unit with a cotton swab. 

Soak the disassembled plastic and steel parts in isopropyl for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse with water and leave the parts to air dry.

Storz and Bickel Venty Accessories & Replacement Parts 

Eventually your Venty vaporizer parts will wear down, and it’s best for them to be replaced. S&B made sure there are several maintenance parts available:

Specific part sets are available as the Venty Screen set, Seal Ring set, and Mouthpiece set. 

Venty users have the option to purchase the Venty Cooling Unit as a 1 or 3 pack, or with a complete maintenance package in the Venty Wear & Tear set.

Venty Vaporizer vs Mighty Plus

In addition to S&B’s signature vapor quality, a key similarity is that the Venty has the same chamber size as the Mighty+ vaporizer. This means the Venty is compatible with the S&B Dosing Capsules that help Venty vape users organize their doses and keep their vaporizer clean. 

Here’s where the Venty is better than the Mighty Plus:

• Venty 20L adjustable airflow is superior to the Mighty+ airflow, which is still great.
• Venty mini-heater heats up in 20 seconds, while the Mighty+ takes 60 seconds or longer to heat up. (To be fair, it’s called the Mighty. Not the Fast.)
• Venty flow meter keeps the chamber temperature more consistent than the Mighty+.
• Venty is taller and narrower making it more portable and discreet than the Mighty+.
• Venty stands on its own. Mighty+ uses the packing tool inserted the other way.
• Venty cooling unit, in my experience, is easier to clean than the Mighty+ cooling unit. 

Mighty Plus gets credit where it’s due:

• Mighty+ battery life lasts 90 minutes, versus 60 minutes on the Venty. 
• Mighty+ has a place for the chamber tool, while the Venty does not. 

Both are great vaporizers from Storz & Bickel, but overall, the Venty is better than the Mighty Plus. It’s the newer model, so it should be better.

Warranty and support

The Storz and Bickel Venty comes with a 2-year warranty, or 3- years once the device is registered on the S&B website. 

Venty E04 Error Code (Resolved)

The Venty E04 error code issue has been resolved by the user updating the Venty firmware in the S&B Web App. 

Tips & Tricks

• To hard reset your Venty, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. 
• To make your Venty more discreet, wear a long sleeve shirt and conceal it in your sleeve, and dim the LED display using the S&B Web App. 

• For easier cleaning, leave the Cooling Unit attached to the vaporizer and remove the top. 

• Clean AVB (already vaped botanical) off the cooling unit screen with the top facing up. Use the S&B Cleaning brush to brush off AVB so it doesn’t fall into the cooling unit.
• The mouthpiece can be tricky. When installing, push the connecting part in with your finger to make it easier to install.  

Conclusion: Yeah Silly, the Venty is worth the money.
