When it comes to vapor quality, I look at three different factors that determine how much I like a vaporizer: airflow, vapor flavor, and cloud production.

Airflow

The most significant upgrade in the Zeus ARC GT3 is its 20% improved airflow from the previous GTS model. The GT3 has a new and improved design that has more open and smooth airflow, similar to the Zeus ARC S vaporizer, which has good airflow (It’s worth noting the Zeus ARC S is a less premium version of the GT3).

While the GT3’s airflow is very good for a conduction vaporizer, convection vaporizers like the Utillian 723, Airvape Legacy Pro, and Venty vaporizer have the edge for airflow, so there is room for further innovation. Nonetheless, the GT3’s airflow is a notable improvement and a key feature of its enhanced performance.

Vapor Flavor

The vapor flavor is good for a conduction vaporizer. While the flavor is a notch lower than other high-end, convection vaporizers, such as the Arizer Solo 3 and its glass mouthpiece, the GT3’s gold and zirconia parts certainly help. This combination of gold and zirconia produce a unique quality of flavor that is above average in the industry and best in its own category of conduction vapes.

Heating System: Gold-Plated Chamber

The Zeus ARC GT3 produces its vapor from a unique combination of gold-plated vaporizer parts and conduction heating. As a high-end vaporizer, this use of gold with conduction heating is very unique from other dry herb vaporizers.

However, unlike pure conduction systems like this, newer devices such as the Utillian 850 use a hybrid dual-core heating system that combines conduction and convection. This allows for thicker vapor production while still maintaining consistent heating and better airflow control.

Gold sink technology

Easy one-button controls:

Color-coded LED light showing the operation:

• Blue (slow flashing): chamber is heating to selected temperature setting
• Green: chamber is fully heated
• White: standing by
• Red: checking battery life

To check the battery life, shake the vaporizer and the color-coded LED will turn red showing the battery life: 1 red bar for low battery and 3 red bars for full battery.

Smart and Powerful Battery with USB-C Charging

The battery life on the GT3 is remarkable. It has a 3500mah battery that lasts for roughly 90 minutes of continuous usage; approximately 6 to 8 sessions. The GT3 vape battery takes about an hour… and a half (or longer) to fully recharge.

The USB-C charging is a nice addition too, unifying it with your cell phone charger.

The GT3 also has a motion-sensor that helps preserve battery life when the vaporizer is dormant for a period of time. This motion sensor is also what lets you check the battery life when you shake the vaporizer.

Putting the battery life to the test, I took the GT3 out for a “walk test”, where I walk for over an hour sometimes. For 40 minutes of walking, I tried to drain the battery, turning it on every time it shut off. (I wasn’t vaping, just leaving it on.)

I got tired after 40 minutes and I gave up. The GT3 vape battery won.

Bong Compatible Vaporizer: Add Humidity to Your High

The Zeus ARC GT3 is a third-generation vaporizer. This means it comes with its own vaporizer hub, with a pod system, grinder, loading station, and debowler for your convenience.

Zeus ArcPods: convenient pod system

Zeus ArcPods are cannabis dosing capsules designed for the Zeus ARC GT3 vaporizer; used to organize your doses and keep your vaporizer clean. After use, remove the paper lid and dump the ABV (Already Been Vaped weed) into the debowler. Twist the ArcPod on the spire to help empty it.

Zeus Xtruder: pod system grinder

The Zeus Xtruder grinder helps fill the Zeus ArcPods with ground flower. The Arcpod sits inside the base and the Xtruder fully loads the dosing pod. Once it’s full, pop off the base and cap the capsule with a Zeus ArcPods paper lid. It’s ready to vape.

I found the Xtruder grinder works best when you load a ton of weed and fill a bunch of capsules at once, versus just fill one at a time. You’re getting all your doses ready for the week… or for the day, depending on your usage.

E-Module: automatic, electronic grinder

What’s cool about the Zeus ARC GT3 Hub is it has the option to purchase it with or without the E-Module for the Xtruder grinder: Zeus ARC GT3 Electric or Non-electric.

I find the automatic grinding is useful and definitely worth the upgrade. Using the Xtruder manually felt somewhat draining, more than a normal grinder. (Check out the other Zeus grinders Zeus BOLT 2 and Zeus BOLT XL)

The only bummer is when the e-module is installed, it sticks out of the hub kit and looks kinda goofy. This is by no means a deal breaker, I found that funny and left me scratching my head when I used it. For users with arthritis in their hands, the E-module Xtruder is super useful.

Vape Hack: the Xtruder grinder works with other products outside of Zeus. Use the Xtruder with E-module to fill your other vaporizer chambers, joints or glass smoking pieces.

Zeus ARC GT3 Cleaning: A Learning Curve

When you first clean the Zeus ARC GT3, there is a learning curve getting through the nooks and crannies of the vaporizer. Cleaning does get easier over time once you understand the process.

Vape Hack: The GT3 magnetic tool at the bottom helps a lot with cleaning the GT3.

Cleaning the mouthpiece & heat sink:

Remove the oven screen and the GT3 Heat Sink, slide the gold-plate off the zirconia (use the magnetic tool) and clean them separately with isopropyl (like Orange Chronic) or Zeus Purify alcohol-free cleaning solution. Make sure the heat sink is installed with the square opening facing down, into the chamber.

Vape Hack: Grab a pack of cleaning iso wipes in our Cleaning Bundle or a bristle brush to help clean the heat sink faster and easier.

Cleaning the flow sink:

Use the flow sink rod tool to pop out the flow sink cylinder, and flow sink screen from the bottom of the vaporizer and clean with iso. They are small parts, so be careful not to lose them.

Once cleaned, drop the cylinder back in the chamber and push the flow sink screen into the bottom of the chamber with the flow sink tool. After enough usage, the GT3 flow sink screens will need to be replaced.

Utillian 723 vs. Zeus ARC GT3

Utillian 723 is a convection vaporizer that’s much easier to clean and maintain. The U723 also uses a zirconia mouthpiece, but has a convection heating system instead of conduction on the GT3, giving it the edge for vapor production and flavor over the GT3. The Utillian 723 does have a bong adapter, but its mouthpiece does work with the Zeus Iceborn whip tubing.

Zeus ARC GT3, with its gold-plated conduction, is more discreet. It looks sleeker and more subtle than the Utillian 723, which is bigger and clunky in comparison. The GT3’s hub kit with Zeus ArcPods and Xtruder is another nice part of its charm, providing a more complete vaping experience. The GT3 works with a bong and the Zeus Iceborn using the Zeus ARC Iceborn adapter accessory.

Both are solid vaporizers, it just comes down to your preference.

When you first get the Zeus ARC Hub, flip it over to find the USB-C charging cable underneath.

The Zeus ARC GT3 is a great hand warmer. It’s a useful decoy for staying lowkey around kids, and especially if you get cold hands, or live in Canada like me (or somewhere cold).

I enjoy using the Zeus ARC GT3. Holding it in my hand, it feels premium and it’s so elegant to look at. It definitely looks cool with your watch or cologne collection.

The upgrades to its airflow and USB-C charging help enhance its three (3) key strengths: gold-plated vapor, powerful battery life, and portability & discreteness. Packaged with a convenient vaporizer hub with dosing capsules and a grinder, it drives home a great vaping experience.

It falls short in a few key areas… For instance, cleaning takes more effort than most dry herb vaporizers, but it gets easier once you’re familiar with it. While the vapor production and flavor are solid for a conduction vaporizer, I wouldn’t blame you if your heart is set on a convection vaporizer like the Utillian 723 or the Venty by Storz & Bickel.

So who is the Zeus ARC GT3 vaporizer best for?

It’s best for portable dry herb vape users who want a small, discreet, and attractive vaporizer with strong battery life, and the convenience of the Zeus Hub with everything you need to get high.
