Is the DynaVap B worth it?
If you wanted to buy a DynaVap but the price was a bit too high for your liking, then the DynaVap B is here to give you the budget-friendly butane torch vaporizer experience your heart has always desired – Sort of.
In this review, we’ll be going over whether the minimalist design of the B holds up to the mainstay M model, as well as comparing it to some other dry herb vapes under $100. Buckle up, buckaroo, we have some vape key features to discuss!
Key Features
- Full stainless steel parts + Silicone sleeve
- Entry-Level DynaVap
- Won’t roll on tables
- No O-Rings
- Easier to Clean
- Half-Sized DynaVap Chamber
- 10mm Water Adapter Mouthpiece
Classic Click System
Working like a normal DynaVap Vaporizer, the chamber’s cap is designed to click when the internal temperature reaches 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
You can achieve this by either heating the chamber with a lighter like the Honest Single Flame Torch or with a DynaVap Induction Heater which works by putting the chamber into a battery-powered heater.
- Depending on your chosen heating method, you’ll be able to get a click/hit after about five seconds which has always been impressive for on-demand heating.
For faster chamber reloading, you’ll definitely want a DynaStash so that you can remove the hot chamber lid with the magnet, and then press the chamber into the storage container.
Optimized for Microdosing
The vapor quality from the half-sized chamber is overall decent.
- You’ll only be able to get about three hits off one heating cycle, and that will be about it.
While there is still an air choke on the silicone, DynaVap’s founder George has said that the airpath is optimized so that there is more air turbulence with the air port being left open. Overall, you won’t have to go much past the click for it to be a one-hitter from the .075g chamber, so you’ll be getting a decent mix of flavor and cloud if you hit it right. You can hit it dry, but I’d suggest buying a 10mm Universal Bubbler for a quick boost to vapor quality.
If you don’t mind spending the extra bit of money though, I’d easily recommend the XMAX V3 Pro with a water accessory like the V3 Pro Silicone Adapter and 14mm Globe Bubbler. I love the DynaVap lineup, it’s just the XMAX hits much better for only 40-50$ more.
Good Extraction
After your first heating cycle and taking your two-three hits from the bowl, your weed is going to be a nice golden brown color and you don’t really need another heating cycle as all you’ll really do is just burn your weed and get a bad tasting hit.
Because the chamber size is half the size of the normal M model, you won’t be able to place the DynaCoil into the chamber for concentrates.
Instead, a small piece of cotton will be your best bet if you want to vape a small amount of concentrate. Overall, not going to be the best though, as you’re better off just picking up a Cheap Dab Pen.
Still super portable
It’s just about 3.5 inches long and the Silicone doesn’t add much bulk to the body, so overall you’ll be able to fit your ‘B’ into any pocket or vape case that you have.
Instead of the normal cardboard packaging, you’ll instead get a sealable plastic tube case which also helps boost the portability compared to other models. I’m not sure about you other DynaVap owners, but I find the cardboard case completely useless.
Unique Manufacturing Quality
There are only five parts to the DynaVap B model:
- Steel Airpath
- Silicone Jacket
- Chamber Lid
- DynaVap B Body
- Screen
The nice thing about the B model is the overall simplicity of the design and removal of O-rings.
Since the silicone air path jacket can be submerged in either ethyl or isopropyl alcohol for a few minutes, the cleaning process is much more streamlined because you won’t need to worry about removing the small O-rings.

DynaVap B Community Consensus
The folks over at /r/vaporents had some mixed feelings regarding the B. Personally, I was looking forward to an XL DynaVap chamber, not a budget metal device since there was already the DynaVap BB3 for an affordable cost.
Who’s the DynaVap B for – Final Thoughts
Overall, I’d relegate the DynaVap B to only hardcore fans of the DynaVap that want to collect as many of the models and new releases as they can.
While there’s a lot of innovation and thought put into the design, it just doesn’t bring enough new features to the table for my liking. The biggest upgrade for me is the anti-roll design that sits above a tabletop to prevent both rolling and burning the table, so that’s a nice feature.
The ability to soak in iso is also a nice feature. So, overall, if these sound like great selling features be sure to pick one up! If you’re still looking for your next vape, be sure to check out our list of the best dry herb vaporizers!
