When we talk about working within a budget, the Utillian 621 vaporizer is one of my favorite dry herb vaporizers on a budget. It’s great for anyone who wants a solid vaporizer, while keeping their vaping costs down; a worthy balance to look at. 

At the medium price-range, the Utillian 621 is a convection vaporizer that has several key features, offering an enjoyable vaping experience: isolated airpath, precise temperature control, and a glass mouthpiece to name a few. 

It is one of the most customizable, and practical portable vaporizers on the market, and is certainly a Super Bowl contender for the best budget dry herb vaporizers.

Utillian 621 vapor quality: solid for its price

As a renowned manufacturer, Utillian vaporizers are known for being both easy to use and great at getting you high. With a simple design (finished with anodized aluminum), the U621 vaporizer produces solid vapor and does a lot of justice for dry herb vaping. 

Though more exquisite vaporizers like Venty by Storz & Bickel have superior airflow and vapor flavor, the Utillian 621 still brings exceptional vapor quality for a much lower price tag. The balance between price and performance is a notable strength of the Utillian 621.

Smart convection vaporizer: Convection helix technology

As a convection vaporizer, the U621 sets a thoughtful industry standard for well-manufactured convection vaporizers at an affordable price.

Its heating system features a convection helix that gathers hot air producing exceptional convection heating. 

The Utillian 621 Convection Helix is the vaporizer’s stainless steel chamber floor with a spiraling design underneath. The spirals provide a heating path for the air that preheats the air and fully disperses the heat in the chamber. This design produces smooth and consistent vapor.  

Airflow done right: Pure air from isolated airpath

The Utillian 621 features an isolated airpath that keeps air pure, improving the overall quality of the vapor produced. 

An isolated airflow means the vaporizer pulls in air isolating it from the electrical parts that produce heat in the device. This is one of the features that vape users really appreciate on the U621. 

Utillian 621 mouthpiece: Swirling vapor path for cooler vapor

An improved design from the Utillian 620, the 621 mouthpiece is now made with divots on the glass. They are small spires on the inner glass that look like dimples on the outer glass. 

The dimpled glass increases the vapor path surface area, allowing a longer path for more vapor cooling while you inhale. Instead of vapor flowing straight up into your mouth, the vapor swirls around the divots and further cools the vapor before consumption. 

Simple design: User-friendly operation, and customization

The 621 has a design that is incredibly user-friendly, and has customization settings for the session time and temperature settings. It’s easy to understand for those new to dry herb vaporizers with a power button, and up and down buttons for the temperatures.

How to use Utillian 621:

• Click the power button 5 times fast to turn on and off. 
• Click the up and down buttons respectively to change the temperature.

How to customize your Utillian 621 vape session:

• Hold the power button for 3 seconds to modify the session time. (Between 3 to 8 minutes.)
• Hold the up and down buttons together for 3 seconds to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

Digital display and flexible temperatures

Another feature that makes the 621 easy to use is the digital LED screen on the top of the vaporizer. 

It shows the temperature selected, the current chamber temperature, and the battery life displayed by three bars: three bars being full and one bar meaning close to empty.

The 621 vaporizer also has precise temperature control which means the user can choose their temperature by the exact degree.

It has a temperature range of 160°C (320°F) and 220°C (428°F), allowing a wide range of temperatures for your preference.

Haptic feedback: Vibrations alert you when it’s ready

The user experience on the 621 is made even easier with its haptic feedback function, which means the vaporizer vibrates, letting the user know when the vaporizer is ready. 

The Utillian 621 vibrates when: 

• The vaporizer is turned on.
• The vaporizer is fully heated.
• The vaporizer is turned off.

Built-in stir tool: Handy and portable vaporizer

The U621 is a highly portable convection vaporizer. For more convenience, this vaporizer includes a built-in, magnetic stirring tool that is stored at the bottom of the device, ready to use whenever you are. 

The Utillian 621 Stir Tool is useful for dumping the AVB (already vaped botanical) out of the chamber. It’s also useful for removing and installing the convection helix by popping it through the circular airflow hole in the bottom. 

A lightweight, portable and discreet vaporizer

Weighing-in at 90 grams, the Utillian 621 is a lightweight and highly portable vaporizer. It fits inside your hand with only the glass mouthpiece sticking out; overall, not bad for discreteness.

Although it is a pocket-sized vaporizer, the glass mouthpiece sticking out is a notable downside. This can result in the glass mouthpiece breaking while it’s in your pocket when you’re moving. 

I find the best way to travel with it is to safely store it in a portable vaporizer carrying case so it’s protected while you’re out and about. 

Reliable battery life & USB-C charging

The U621 has good battery life with 2300mAh of power. It’s nothing beast-mode like the Arizer Solo 3, but it will last around an hour of continuous usage, or approximately 6-8 sessions. 

Another key upgrade on the Utillian 621 vs 620 is it now features a USB-C charging port, making everyone’s life easier. 

Utillian 621 vape cleaning guide

Cleaning the Utillian 621 is standard like most dry herb vaporizers. The convection helix, glass mouthpiece, and stainless steel screen all need to be cleaned regularly to ensure your vaporizer performs up to expectations. 

Utillian 621 Magnetic Cap and Mouthpiece

The Utillian 621 Magnetic Cap & Mouthpiece parts (excluding the red silicone o-ring) are best cleaned by submerging them in isopropyl or Orange Chronic for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, thoroughly rinse the parts with water and let them air dry.

Use an iso-soaked cotton swab to clean inside the magnetic cap to reduce iso exposure to the silicone inside the cap.

Utillian 621 Stirring Tool

The magnetic stirring tool (magnetically stored at the bottom of the vaporizer) is your best friend when it comes to maintaining the U621 vaporizer.

The stir tool breaks up the AVB (already vaped botanical) making it easy to dump out of the chamber. 

When the chamber is empty, use the stir tool to pop out the convection helix from the bottom. Make sure the vaporizer is upright so the convection helix does not fall onto the ground. 

When the helix is cleaned, drop it into the chamber, and pop it back in place using the stir tool. 

Utillian 621 Replacement Parts

Eventually your vaporizer parts wear down and need to be replaced. The Utillian 621 Screen Pack is especially useful when the silicone o-rings wear down. 

Utillian 621 accessories: Vaporizer with many talents

A cool thing to know about the Utillian 621 is that it has a variety of accessories that enhance the overall vaping experience. 

Utillian 621 Bubbler

For simple water filtration, the Utillian 621 can be used with the Utillian Glass Bubbler, sliding it over the glass mouthpiece. This is the official Utillian bubbler that works on the Utillian 5 wax pen, the Utillian 2, and the Utillian 421 (it does not work on the 723). 

There is also the Utillian 621 Glass Bubbler, which stands on its own as a single water pipe piece, exclusive to the Utillian 621. 

To use the exclusive Utillian 621 bubbler, remove the glass mouthpiece and the 621 bubbler goes in place of the glass mouthpiece.

Utillian 621 Bong Adapter

Bong and water pipe users will enjoy this vaporizer as it is compatible with bongs using the Utillian 621 Glass Adapter, fitting any 10mm, 14mm or 18mm bong or water pipe.

Much like the stand-alone Utillian 621 glass bubbler, the Utillian 621 bong adapter goes in place of the glass mouthpiece.

While the XMAX V3 Pro dosing capsules fit, keep in mind that the airflow may be impacted as these dosing capsules are crossing over different manufacturers.

Dual use vaporizer: Utillian 621 and concentrates

The Utillian 621 is compatible with both dry herbs and concentrates. Normally used with dry herb, Utillian 621 wax users need the Utillian 621 Wax Canister accessory to keep the vaporizer clean from any super sticky concentrate residue.
